'Working on Interceptor against 5,000-km range enemy missile': DRDO Chief

China has no intention of deploying a National Missile Defense system. China is only testing and researching to keep up to date with the technology. China may use this mid course interception to deploy against countries like India or for point defense of high value asset.

This I disagree. China's interest in BMD is focussed on building strong ASAT capabilities - they want to deny US access to their space based resources in case of a war - potentially in Taiwan or NK.

Mid-course Exo-atmospheric Kill Vehicle is still the best way of intercepting a ballistic missile once you have master the difficulties and have the technology.

nope..you're wrong..best way to kill a missile is Boost Phase interception, technologies like Boeing YAL-1.but you've to prepare all the stages to secure yourself against Ballistic missiles.Midcourse provides only certain degree of security.but then, there is no full proof midcourse interception system till now.so,you always has to rely on terminal defence system if midcourse fails.these stages doesn't work against one another, but in tandem.there is no best chance or worst chance of interception.but Midcourse is effective against MIRVed missiles, which may overwhelm terminal defence system if launched.and for Chinese Midcourse interception,BMD shouldn't be made by keeping only India in mind but to secure any possible missiles.in fact,China doesn't have a declared BMD system.they only demonstrated their Midcourse interception, thats all.what they rely on is hiding there missile for any future attack so that they can assure mutual destruction.
