What's new

Work with HUAWEI and its goodbye from us, U.S companies tells U.K partners.

These people simply can't compete。

So they come up with lameduck excuses。

Pathetic。:rofl::D

PS Chinese enterprises pay sky-high interests on the borrowings that they make to expand their business,yet these western competitors who pay near zero interests on loans thanks to N rounds of QEs,still can't compete and are caught with their pants down。:lol:

same applies to China too

why there is no Google, Facebook, Amazon, Twitter in China?

i think the U.S is just trying to protect its Telecom equipment companies like Cisco from too much competition. but they are doing it the wrong way IMO.. sadly. :(

Excessive government intervention in the name of American businesses. What an unlikely alliance. If ever there was one.

not just that my friend nihonji . if china and other countries also started banning say Cisco, IBM,, Microsoft etc for national security reasons then it will mean huge losses of business and reduce ther revenues drastically, since they also make huge money operating im these countries. I think the U.S government shoulld be very careful about the game they are playing. for other countries can play it too. on this one, im for the U,K government continuing their work/cooperation with huawei and any other country for that matter., as far as we haven't found any security lapses in their products. we shouldn't bow to the U.S on this,im sure our government won't anyway. we always welcome FDI in our country. so the U.S should respect this and stop blackmailing its most important ally. in Europe

@mike2000

I empathize. For me, I was against my government's imposition of these frivolous sanctions on Russia. Which actually hurt Japanese - Russian relations. To be honest, I really could care less about Ukraine. Japan's interests is my #1 sole concern. Everything else is secondary. I mean, I don't want to sound heartless, but trade between Japan and Ukraine is infinitesimal to the trade between Japan and Russia.

Sometimes its important to put your foot down and say no, but a las, we are just mere private citizens, Mike.

If Huawei and ZTE aren't spies for the Chinese government then Google and Microsoft aren't spies for the U.S :rofl::rofl::big_boss:

Does the United States really have the right to scrutinize about spying activities? Given the light of the NSA scandal? Pardon my conjecture and I don't intend to be argumentative here, but isn't that a case of the pot calling the kettle black?

no, but you gotta wonder if the NSA spying did more good than bad. we'll never know probably.

So you caught them with their pants down and still can't fukk them because you are impotent. Is that what you are implying here Mr. Sir.

The point is all nations have intelligence operatives. The United States should be more considerate on the economic sensitivities of her allies. And I'm not speaking just for Japan because I'm a Japanese Nationalist, but I'm also speaking for America's NATO allies who have been almost arm twisted to adopt certain policies. In the end of the day, these certain nations have their own citizens to care for, with their own economic interests.

Americans warning British citizens , pardon me, threatening British counterparts, is not good taste. I don't like that at all.

you gotta draw the line in the sand sometimes even for allies.

What makes you so sure it isn't already there? iPhones are manufactured in China, so are lots of Western branded laptops/tablets. etc

Telecom equipment including MUX and routers are totally different things, for best of any counties interest these important things should be bought only by domestic players not from outside country.

Fucking Yanks, it's always either their way or no way. They are the only ones who'll suffer greatly due to their myopic view of the world - they just don't know it yet!

:taz: that's pretty funny like throwing a tantrum when the parents say it's time to go to bed.
i'm sure the USSR or PRC never keep it's allies in check either.
China likes to control information especially regarding the government that would harm them and Huawei and LTE being telecommunications giants it would be reasonable to suspect the Chinese government has some influence over them

better safe than sorry :bounce: that's why all Chinese government computers don't use windows anymore

.
Mate, I'm pretty deep into netsec....... I know very well what I'm talking about it........ specially about US tech giants and their 'ethics'......... :D

No one is clean. No one.
