Work on Harpo, Skardu Power project to be initiated soon

The designing and engineering work of 34.5 megawatt Harpo, Skardu Power project costing nine point five billion rupees would be initiated within a couple of months.

WAPDA sources told our Gilgit correspondent on Friday that under PSDP, beside Power House, three grid stations and one suspension bridge on Indus River for heavy traffic, transmission line and link roads would be constructed.

The project will be financed by France.

For this purpose, France will provide fifty million euros while Germany will give twenty million euros.

The project will be completed in four years.

Why not GoP invest in Balochistan and Sindh Hydro Electric projects and increase the canal system to greater extent.
