Yes that will need to be sorted out in tandem obv (thats really the crux of the larger issue in the end). But this way at least there is less "the mod didn't see it/it didnt get reported" kind of buffer/excuse that gets passed around too much rite now (esp for real time)....and ppl can more genuinely choose if this forum is for them etc form the results of that.

This was an exceptional case of undue favouritism, but on individual/personal level....

As for disagreeing with the rest of you in most cases, that's for discussion/argument purposes... We should always be open to contrasting and opposing views as it helps us understand things in a better way.

This forum has more potential if domestic Pakistani issues are discussed by Pakistanis. My reason for staying here is engaging my fellow Pakistanis regarding issues related to our society and overall governance.

Weapons don't interest me neither the state of Indo-Pak relationship. The problem here is when particular Indian members open threads just for the intention of trolling or post something stupid on a Pakistan specific topic. This means even if its a serious post by an Indian member, it will be responded with idiocy by a Pakistani member as a default reaction to seeing the flags. As a result, we get in a circle of insults and an issue which was supposed to be discussed by Pakistanis gets lost in the mud.

One way forward could be reducing access to Indians when it comes to the Pakistan affairs section. This doesn't mean limiting Indian access to Indo-Pak topics or defense/weapons related discussions.

We already have the like and negative rating system that mirrors the prestiege points..

It does and it doesn't. It serves the purpose of forum members handing out positive ratings but only select few members can give negative ratings. Most important of all it doesn't allow or bar entry to a thread. A member with a ton of negative ratings(received from idiotic troll posts) can waltz in to a thread, where ppl with positive ratings(received for better non troll posts) are discussing something, and be obnoxious there.

The purpose of prestige points(or ratings in this case) isn't being served if a standard isn't being set in different sections of the forum based on that criteria. For example if a thread involves a sensitive subject like Kashmir and is more likely to attract trolls then the person creating the thread can set the prestige level at 2000(just picking an arbitrary number for this example). This means anyone below this prestige can only be a silent reader/observer. Only the members that meet this 2000 limit or exceed it can post their comments on that particular thread.

but the aspect of the forum I truly despise is the ELITE, SENIOR titles based on who posts more .. not what.

I totally agree...and yet we have sections like "senior's cafe" where a troll(with just a huge number of posts) can get access to it while non troll members may not be able to participate...just based on how many posts have been made. This again prioritizes quantity and doesn't take quality into account.

Rather it SHOULD be based on quality of posts and not quantity. This is exactly the purpose of proposed prestige points. Members can be given positive or negative prestige points on their posts by other members who come across it...based solely on the quality of the post. This would over time separate those ppl with quality posts from those whose posts are intended for flamebaiting. Then if a "senior's cafe" like section exists(based on prestige points judging quality of a member's posts and not quantity), it would end up segregating trolls to low prestige threads...thus keeping them out of high quality(high prestige threads).

They've made a right winger the mod of the Turkish section, and now that forum has effectively become a no-go area for any non Turk who has an interest in Turkish affairs or surrounding regions/ethnicities where the Turks are directly involved, because this guy just has the sub-forum power to outright ban a member.

He has been banned, I have seem his name in pink a few times. Maybe not as much as needed if there was same equivalent standards for all though. Even though I say this, I consider him pretty funny lad....I just ignore about 99% of the threads where hes doing the usual stuff tho.

I've invested one ban on each letting them know exactly where they stood with me.
