Woman carrying heroin worth Rs130 million arrested at Islamabad International Airport

ISLAMABAD: A woman carrying three kilograms of heroin was taken into custody at the Islamabad International Airport on Sunday.

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) officials revealed that a woman identified as Kausar Younus, a British national was taken into custody after she was found carrying three kilograms of heroin worth Rs130 million.

The woman hid the drugs in three bags which led to suspicion resulting in a thorough inspection of her luggage.

It was revealed further that the woman was arrested while a case was also filed against her.

Earlier this month, a passenger from Jeddah was also found carrying 900 gram of ice at Islamabad International Airport.

When was this monster installed? It wasnt there when I used ISB airport ...then again I havent used the new airport

Greed makes people blind. The money involved is so much that they think it's worth taking a risk. Pakistan should make it mandatory for all airlines issuing tickets to travel to/from Pakistan to print in red clear and bold letters "Bringing drugs in to or Carrying drugs out of Pakistan carries Death Penalty".

Display the same message on all airport entrances in Pakistan.
"This is your last chance to get rid of drugs, bringing drugs in to or Carrying drugs out of Pakistan carries Death Penalty".

This might help people think again before attempting to try anything stupid.

these scanners was working since day one . early they were exposed and open . but since they closed INF counter and now INF work in basement after they check in send the luggage with belt to ANF in basement they check it . if they find something they come up and arrest the person.

Death penalty has minimal deterant value. The % of being caught has significant deterant value. To test this hypothesis find the murder rates in UK, Norway and then compare with Pakistan and USA. Bot the later have death penalty yet it does not cut into the homicide rates.

Point being this is a complex subject. % chance of being caught, making drugs less easily available will have far more effect then lobbing off heads.

lol if you got the drug money you can buy ppl to increase your wealth and they will turn blind and let it slip. Here in uk the prison guards are bought out to allow illegal stuff through. Those possess the goods in prison have it comfortable and ppl under lock down. Once these ppl make connections then they start to get very confident anyone messing with them once they outside, they can get them dealt with.
It's a big team these days. Some of these guys buy 1000 pound shirts, socks, pants. its crazy yet they cant pay someone they owe for example ten quid.
