Windows 11

Hello,

So finally the developer version of Windows 11 is released for the public. Did anyone use the Windows 11? How do you compare vs Windows 10? What are your thoughts about it?

I have installed Windows 11 in my Dell XPS 13 (9300) and it works like a charm. I think it is not right to compare well established Windows 10 so far but the beta version is working without any bugs. Did anyone manage to install Android apps in it? I think this is the feature that will soon be rolled out and not yet available but I am not sure myself

No Windows. I use Slax Linux which can boot off a USB pen drive.

I have tested booting of a USB drive , it won't worth it , Its slower compared to booting of HDD and shorten the age of the drive.

1. I would like to use Windows but I don't know any Windows variety that boots off a USB drive. Also, Windows after XP has a huge resources requirement AFAIK.

2. About aging, use one drive to boot and backup your data in another drive.

3. About speed, if you have selected to load all the Linux installation into RAM it will take a few more seconds to load but once loaded it is fast. But of course it will use more memory. Sometimes my browser freezes because of the JavaScript being too long in one tab and memory not enough but then I either try to close some of the windows or invoke the terminal to kill the browser process.
