Will you come to Vietnam for vacation and gambling?

.
gambling is a mega business; however, it can take away one's life and fortune which could increase crime rate. It wouldn't do so well in Vietnam but it would do well for a developed country such as US and Canada. Vietnam needs to have a solid legal system to accommodate casinos.

Gambling will not help Vietnam grow but would cause more problems at this stage. What Vietnam need is major industries such as manufacturing capabilities, automation systems and machinery.

Very well put. Allowing gambling in a responsible and developed society is the key, else it is a social nuisance.

Las Vegas Sands Chairman Sheldon Adelson said: 'I do not make money from the poor VNese' , the fee for VNese to gamble is 100 US (equal with 1 month salary of normal worker) , he will employ 12.000 - 14.000 staffs and he willing to invest 6 billion .......

Haizzz, it's quite hard to refuse this offer, brother. Some time, I gamble in Cambodia ,and if gamling in Do Son Casino in VietNam , the fee is 5 $ only.

If you visit North VietNam , you can come to Do Son beach in Hai Phong city, 100km from Ha Noi , there is a 'Red light' street inside Ministry of Construction Hotel (Bộ Xây Dựng), price is 250,000 VND (roughly 13-14 USD) for 1 hour with a Hot chick :partay:
Haiphong

Haiphong [1] is Vietnam's fourth largest city, a port near Hanoi.
[edit]Get in

Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar both service Hai Phong from Cat Bi International Airport.
Several trains a day run from Long Bien station in Hanoi to the Haiphong train station in the city centre (hard seats only, 38,000 VND).
Frequent buses run from Lương Yên station in Hanoi (near the old quarter) to Tam Bạc station in the centre of Haiphong (50,000 VND). Another option is to take a bus from Gia Lâm station at the outskirts of Hanoi to either Niệm Nghĩa (3 km from the city centre) or Cầu Rào station (approx. 6 km) in Haiphong (65,000 VND - Jan 2012). Gia Lâm station can be reached from the Old Quarter by city bus no. 34 (3,000 VND).
A taxi or private car from Hanoi to Haiphong costs about $80 USD one way.
Boats including fast hydrofoils run from Cat Ba town on the south of Cat Ba Island.
[edit]Get around

-Down at the port(City Center,Ben Binh Street) depart ferries to Cat Ba Island (up to 100'000 Dong)
-To visit Đồ Sơn Beach, about 20 km southeast of Haiphong, go to Lạch Tray Street and board any bus marked Đồ Sơn - cuurently (2012) a very bright and unmissable pink colour (17000 Dong as at Jan 2012)

Las Vegas Sands eyes Asian expansion
Brian Higgs, Macau, April 12, 2012

FRESH from launching its fourth integrated resort (IR) in Macau, Las Vegas Sands (LVS) is planning to grow its network of IRs across key Asian destinations including South Korea, Japan and Vietnam.

In Macau, LVS already operates Venetian Macao Resort Hotel, Plaza Macao and Sands Macao, in addition to the Sands Cotai Central which opened in a grand affair yesterday. It also operates Marina Bay Sands (MBS) in Singapore.

Besides plans for another 3,600-room property next to Plaza Macao, the fourth tower of Sands Cotai Central is also under development. Due to open after 2013, the fourth tower will house a St. Regis-branded hotel and serviced apartments, adding to the IR's existing Holiday Inn, Sheraton and Conrad offerings.

Outside of the former Portuguese colony, LVS is looking to expand in North Asia and South-east Asia, with cities such as Seoul, Busan, Tokyo, Taipei, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in the crosshairs.

Speaking at the opening of Sands Cotai Central, LVS chairman and CEO, Sheldon Adelson, said: “We are looking to build two (IRs) each in Japan, South Korea and Vietnam.”

Asked why LVS was targeting these destinations in particular, LVS president and COO, Mike Leven, said: “We are looking at places which have the characteristsics to be successful (in supporting IR development), and are either relatively mature or emerging markets. We need places where there will be people to fill the resorts, where the tourism infrastructure is capable...places where people will want to visit for both MICE and leisure.”

“Our long-term strategy is to have IRs in every Asian capital, using Singapore as the model,” he added.

Meanwhile, Leven confirmed that LVS was in discussions with the Singapore government to develop additional rooms and MICE space on another plot of land adjacent to MBS, a suggestion that was first mooted at the start of last year (TTG Asia e-Daily, February 17, 2011).

“Marina Bay Sands will run out of space within a year and a half, but it’s going to take a long time (before we get the approval for expansion in Singapore),” he said.

Cannot agree more. Limited gambling in one city is OK so local gambler's money does not go overseas, but wide spread gambling is definitely a cancer to the society. For instance, in Macau, students tend to pick gambling business related majors since it makes quick money. But this will definitely hurt science and engineering, the foundation of a society.
