Why? Maybe you should move away and see how to amke the nuclear industry work with better safety practices and better emergency prepardeness in place.

I know this Trinity and I have chosen to ignore him - I saw the news in the thread start and was mentioning about this DR. Parameshwaran who was calling for this one - Medha Patkar.

Sry I was mistaken....yeah the guy in question is crazy to say we will never use nuclear energy. I think he is entitled to his opinions even though i dont agree with it. The best solution is a public forum where all questions are addressed. This will show who are the real trouble makers.

We already have such public forums - the parliament of India or the state legislatures. Since we are a huge country, it is not feasible to have all the people participating in all the discussions together at one place, so what we do is to send a representative from each region to discuss issues on our behalf. Thats why India is called a representative democracy, and the public forum is the legislative bodies of the center or the states.

Most of these anti-nuke bozos have funding of some church or some MNC that lost a bid in contracts. So the best option is to ask the media to ignore these scum and let them stand shouting garbage on the roads. If they block the work, call in CRPF and give them a sound thrashing.
