China is not a superpower in any sense of the word, and never will be. Similarly, all talk of India being a super power, even in future, is ignorant foolishness.



China cannot project its Military power, even in Asia. Similarly it has no soft power, having no ideology which can attract other countries. In fact, hardly any foreigner would want to live in China.

As far as economic power goes, China is resource poor. In Industries, it is just a cheap workshop whose fortunes are intimately tied to its "consumers". If the consumers decline, Chinese economy must decline in tandem, as is happening presently.

Lastly, China is abysmal in the field of Tech inventions.

All the above points are true for India too, only more so. The goal India needs to aspire for is to reach a middle income status, with improved social and educational indicators, and a more equitable distribution of income.

Chinese Politicians have destroyed the CHinese culture. How China can culturally Influence other country?

I believe there are a few steps for India to become the next superpower:

1st step, have a good laugh, relax

India is a victim of its own idiosyncrasy. No one but India itself is to blame for current Indian problems.
Not the bureaucracy, or the corruption, or the lack of power.

Not even the lack of rain: Using cow dung as fuel creates biomass that adds to the coal dust in the air. That affects the monsoon and brings a catastrophic drought. That not only affects the holy cows survival but also the survival of many of those Indians living below poverty line, waiting for a miracle to come from the sky. As they wait, they keep busy relentlessly burning more and more cow dung, without knowing that they are maybe burning their chances to become a world superpower.

For its population, India is very small. China, Russia, USA completely dwarf it in geographic size. This often means resources and less need to import raw materials.

Well, the Indians are currently importing more raw materials not less, when compared to other countries at their standard of living.

However India's population is growing at a faster rate than China. If India reaches 4 billion people, they could overtake China in economy.

If India reached 4 billion with that land area they would have 3,500 people per sq. mile.

Just to compare, Taiwan has 1,600 and Bangladesh has 2,700. Palestine has 1,900 per sq. mile.

So basically India would become the most dense nation in the world (excepting Vatican City, Monaco, and Singapore).

Just imagine the smell..... the nation would be overtaking anyone, they would be collapsing to levels of living that were not seen since the Great War (WWI).
