Why Was a US Submarine Just in the Philippines?

You mean as China TRY to take the SCS.

Yes, SCS belongs to China.

Wait till you guys see a SCS specific fleet assigned permanently there in Philippines. I think 8 bases will be expanded to house the US military personal and assets, and obviously the USN will be there full time too :usflag:.

Come and watch how we take islands from your allies?:usflag:

.
The only thing China needs to watch right now, is their economic slowdown happening so fast like it was mounted on a DF-21 missile and sent off to Mars for an experiment .

The real estate bubble, empty cities, the devalued Yuan are problems enough for the Chinese for the entire 2016. May be if they can get out of it in a couple of years, they can then start to "watch" some permanent USN vessels hanging around their backyard.........Ooops!!

I literally JUST got an alert from YOUR stock market. It dropped to the LOWEST in the recent years. GREAT, we'll now see debris of this mess hitting our stock market tomorrow AM. I think you guys need to focus on your country's economy. No money, no honey. No money, no military and the SCS!!
Then what do you call america's lethargic growth, a stagnation, barely growing above 2%.

. .
What are those US sailors doing?

Isn't this humiliating enough and they want to kneel in front of China?

When that U.S. warships was in your so called artificial island 12 mile limit, why didn't you make it happen?

Did the US bomb China's islands?

Did you sink any American warships near your islands?

. .
Did US help its ALLY at 2012 when we took their island?

Did US help its another ALLY at 2013 when we set ADIZ over their claimed island?

Our ally kicked us out. Now you see American forces coming back in. China waited til we got kicked out before making their move.

.
Ok, thats a nice one...

And considering there are still many Filipinos who don't want Americans coming back in. Even try to make it unconstitutional.

China State News Agency Criticizes US-Philippines Base Deal - ABC News

China harshly criticized the Philippine Supreme Court's backing of a defense pact allowing American forces, warships and planes to be based temporarily in local military camps, with an editorial in state media Wednesday calling the move "stupid" and warning of consequences.

The strongly worded editorial in the official Xinhua News Agency said the agreement would "only escalate tensions and undermine peace and stability in the region."

Manila "appears to be now turning to Uncle Sam to back its ambition to counter China," the article said, employing a phrase harkening back to the Cold War.

The court's ruling Tuesday declaring the pact constitutional bolsters U.S. efforts to reassert its presence in Asia and dovetails with Philippine desires for American help in countering China's maritime claims in the South China Sea.

Washington immediately welcomed the court's decision, saying the defense pact will bolster both countries' ability to respond to disasters and strengthen the Philippines' military.

Xinhua dismissed such assertions as attempts to rationalize an ill-advised move. "Manila has to bear the negative consequences of its stupid move in the future," it said.

Nearly a century of U.S. military presence in the Philippines ended in 1992 when Filipino senators voted not to renew the leases on American bases amid a tide of nationalism.

China responded almost immediately by ramping up its presence in the South China Sea, including areas claimed by the Philippines. Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia and Brunei also have overlapping claims in the strategically vital sea through which around $5 trillion in world trade passes each year.

Recent years have seen Manila turn to Washington as it scrambles to strengthen its military, one of the worst equipped in Asia.

the Chinese stock market is not linked to their economy the way other global indices are

Well, the powerful ally is now going to be LIVING there full time. You better get read for some party. Bring your own beer and some chicks. Our boys will establish some friendly neighboring relationships while ensuring peace and stability in the SCS. Of course with F-18's and occasional F-22's flying overhead and within 12 NM of the reefs :enjoy:

So, basically, what US can do is still WATCH.:usflag:

.
Of course not. If it was to be linked "correctly" and "honestly" with the entire system, how would the "party" tell "all is good" to the Chinese public???? When the reality is that all is as bad as a heart patient walking into a hospital with chest pains!!

Hell yea, and you know our boys like Asian gals. Its a win win situation. "Daring rescue leading to love and marriages of the US Navy personnel :smitten:". I like the story line, sounds good to me (and I am sure it sounds pleasant to our boys in those Subs too  ).
