I don't know why U.K has a better relationship with china than the U.S. UK is a ally nation with the U.S but they don't listening to America. Does UK concentrate on economic interest more than any other issue. Does UK care about Scotland issue ? Now. what are the status of relatetionships between U.K , China and the U.S.

Unlike the US we don't really consider China much of a threat because it's too far away. But the idea that we have a stronger relationship with China then we do the US is laughable.

I dont really understand it too. They also were the first one joined to CHinese funded Bank, to replace IMF or WOrld Bank. UK has its banks in CHine and its the main route that make UK to earn money. to be honest, i believe Uk do prefer the economic relations for now..

China is interesting, they are our main competitor right now.

Hey there's one thing to be interested....there's another just to be 100% obsessed.

He said he was "stateless" so at least he can pick different flags...like maybe China's.

That may or may not be true. What I do know for certain though, it that just throwing that statement out there doesn't automatically make it factual.

I think it is at least 50/50 whether the UK will throw China under the bus if the USA suddenly asks her to.

The most simplest answer to the OP's question is "pragmatism".

1. because china is the rising power while the US is the statue-quo power. this is the classic battle btw #1 and #2 on how much power one has to give, take and share to/from/with the other . hence rocky relationship btw the two, whereas the UK is out of the "game", hence has neither pressure nor power required to really join the fight, but only interests.

2. if there is 1 country in the western world that looks down on the US from the bottom of the heart, that is the UK, because much of the UK elites know the yanks from inside out and despise their "new-rich" banality. Actually some of the UK elites still secretly believe that the British Empire never died and hate the Panamericana with a passion for its challenge . So why the UK has to bow to the US particularly when most of its political and economical elites are convinced, like it or not, that China will be the next thing and the UK's national interests would be better served when dealing closely with China instead of the US?

Actually, no.

UK - Chinese relation was build solely around Economic Relation, but if we only consider economic cooperation, then we can say US have a better relationship to China than the UK.

Political and Diplomatic relation between the UK and China are normal, they are virtually the same between US-China or Canada-China or even Australia-China relationship.

Don't forget, China banned David Cameron from visiting Beijing in 2013 for meeting with Dalai Lama.

And the Brits have not taken the side on China regarding SCS or Senkaku issue, the Chinese did not back UK claim in Falklands, in fact, if I remember correctly, China was and still is on the side of Argentina.

But if your only measuring scale is AIIB, then...
