Why Two Eids in UK?

I have read this announcement from our mosque and make me wonder why EID on two different date in UK where you have no chance of sighting the moon. Why all mosque in UK don't agree with one method of moon sighting ? Which day you are celebrating Eid? Sunday or Monday?

Asalamualaikum,

Due to a negative sighting of the moon of Shawwal here in the UK and the nearest Muslim country, Morocco, Eid will be on Monday 26th June InshaaAllah and Taraweh prayers will be at 11pm tonight led by Hafiz Hashim InshaaAllah.

However, the Masjid will also facilitate an Eid Jamah for those members of our congregation who are celebrating Eid tomorrow in accordance with the sighting of Saudi Arabia.

Therefore, an Eid Jamah will be held at the Masjid both tomorrow and on Monday as follows:-

Sunday 25th June - 9am
Monday 26th June - 9am

We pray Allah (SWT) accept all our acts of worship and charity performed during this blessed month, and bless the entire Ummah. Ameen.

Whether you are celebrating tomorrow or on Monday, everyone at Bashir Ahmed Masjid wishes you and your families a happy, joyous and peaceful Eid.

As always KPK,Balochistan and some other regions will celebrate Eid a day before..

The garrisons in those cities will celebrate a day latter.

So it's like an advance eid and than the "united" one.

What happens if two eid are celebrated...? One who sighting the moon can celebrate eid and one who does not celebrate on other day... very simple... In olden days when there were no media or the Radio or TV channels, people always used to celebrate mostly eid on different days as the in village who sighted the moon celebrated eid and one who did not sight stayed to celebrate eid on the next day... Islam does not prohibit to celebrate two eid on the same day in one country... According to Islamic education you celebrate eid when you sight the moon.... if one country or the people of province do not agree on sighting the moon celebrate it on next day then why we make it the issue...

Popalzai is not issue for making two eid actually we are the people that create the issue in celebrating eid... but we blame to Popalzai...

You cannot sight the moon in Uk because of bad weather condition. We have two groups here mostly deobundi vs Brealvi

one group say that if you cannot sight the moon in UK then you should consult neighbouring Muslim country and should observe fast or EID based on their finding

second group just start fasting or Eid with Saudia arabia

now confusion for average Muslim is which group is right or logical to follow and it don't make sense to offer taraweeh at night and then to offer Eid prayer next morning as y mosque is conducting EID prayers on boht sunday and Monday. Another issue is some of your friend/relatives observe eid on sunday while others on Monday depend on their local mosque which spoil all the fun of Eid

It is our dilema we being a Muslim are divided in groups deobundi vs Brealvi or or some more sects... That is why we are not reaching at any unanimously decision... Let us we jointly pray Allah may give us strength and unity....

when a person or a group of people starts thinking that their culture, traditions , elders are above every logic of science and religion they are destined to be doomed.

a hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW describes the situation extremely well. "there will be a time when the worst people beneath the sky on the surface of the earth will be the scholars of islam . fitna will come out of them and will reenter them." that definitley doesnt include all scholars but mullahs like fazlullah, baghdadi, mullah diesel, lal masjid mullah and papalzae fit the description. all these are using religion for their fat trunks and are responsible for division of muslims.

chirstan way is false there are certain groups in christan who celebrate chrismas in january.on the other hand eid is dynamic it comes in all weathers and is a reward for fasting month of Ramazan which is very logical
