and how many female (yes, ironic) members remain 24/7 on the forum, and hold knowledge over military affairs, political affairs and international geo-politics, or bring something new to the content table?
Me? I'm not too shabby with military affairs and have both practical and professional experience with the such. I'm not too interested in politics, but keep abreast of happenings anyway and am fairly well versed in international dealings.
Content wise I've contributed a lot to this forum already, but moved those to another forum mostly. Unique content, relivent military experience - personal and professional - and pictures. Lots of pictures.
The knock against me is that I don't exactly care too much about either India or Pakistan and their affairs and can be a tad ignorant of them, but that also leaves me impartial and void of taking sides, which, as is the root of Moderator, makes me a moderate voice.
I'm a mod on another defense forum as well, so I'm experienced too.
...
How many other women are interested or versed in politics and military affairs and have a competent grasp of them and are members of this forum? It's not exactly a large list.
Not that I'm campaigning for the forum's female mod position or anything.
Oh they'd also want to change the animation of the site to flowers and unicorns, and have rainbows in the background. That isn't happening on my watch.
I've already picked out the new wallpaper.
there should be one female mod, I think.
Moderation rights should be given to moderate members who are knowledgeable about the majority of the happenings on the forum and are willing to avoid taking sides in a discussion and mete out punishments and perks fairly and without bias.
Add a mod based on a gimmick like gender is a fools game. Do we add one for sexual orientation too? Or religion?
I'm for the idea of having a little diversity in a mainly all Pakistani (if not all) mod team, but it shouldn't be awarded for gender differences, rather to an individual that has proven themselves able, willing and competent. If they are of a certain demographic, then all the better.
