We have a neat approach to this in our family. Traditionally men have a middle name but girls do not. Upon marriage, their maiden name becomes their middle name and they get the last name of the husband.

There are exceptions. My aunt married another Khan. So she's not Khan Khan lol, she doesn't have a middle name. I guess she should have thought of that. Had she married an Abbassi, for instance it would have been Khan Abbassi. But that's how the dice was rolled, and so we find ourselves in the present circumstances.

I think it's a naming convention that works, without doing the cheesy hyphenation thing.

In the province I live in (Quebec) you have people running around with names like "Marie-France Desrochers-Tetreau" or in the case of a mixed marriage "Virginie Papadakis-Deslandes"

:/ they really like their Friggin hyphens.

yes... but this man is in more love with one lady than the other two ladies... and all worked/work in the same office... and he truly wants all three... :-)
In that case the one he likes the most he will marry, and the other two will be really close friends.

It's pathetic ..
What's more pathetic Is girl name hidden in marriage card in Pakistan .
The sequence of marriage card in Pakistan is ...
Beloved son of muhammad Ahmed , mubashir is getting married to the daughter of muhammad iqbal .
This is extremely sad , as her name her personality is being hide on her own marriage card .
Women need to protest over this .
