Let's get some things clear on the subject of Su-57s. For starters, this is a Russian 5th-Gen Stealth Combat Aircraft. The aircraft has nearly concluded or just concluded its development. Su-57s will enter limited batch production, in order to mitigate budgetary allocation, efficiently. The production aircraft, like any other stealth fighter or conventional one, will be slightly or to a degree, different in appearance and performance to its prototypes. The Su-57s are designed to fulfill the needs of and fight in accordance with the Russian doctrine of air combat. It is a very capable fighter, it's characteristics are not known to any adversary country or ally alike. And it is designed to work in synergy with other interoperable assets of the RuAF. As for india, it has dropped out of the aircraft development. This doesn't prove that the Su-57s are inferior in any way. It only means that Russia will NOT be sharing its technology with india. Ally or not, no country with superior technology, will ever share its most advance tech with other countries. That has been proven in the past in many examples such as follows;
1. australians wanted the source codes to its F/A-18E Super Hornets. america flat out refused to consent to Australian request. It is alleged that australians somehow hacked, or cracked, or stole the codes. Whether this is true or not, is unknown.
2. Partner nations in the F-35 Lightning ll programs are NOT given the source codes for the aircraft. Even the first tier partner nations like britain, have no access to the source codes. Now it's alleged that certain segments of the source codes have been released to britain by america.
3. The F-22 Raptor, is blocked for foreign sales by U.S Congressional Law. Not even america's closest ally, (the illegal, illegitimate and terrorist state of) israel is permitted to buy it (not that it can ever afford it, since all of israel's weapons are given on charity of american military aid to the country). Japan who is an ally of america, and is known for paying top dollar for american technology, has been refused sale of Raptor, when it formally (only country to ever try) requested purchase of Raptors.
So there you have it. The Russian Federation would not sell its technology on transfer basis to any nation. india should remain content with what it gets, but as records show, it has dropped out of the program. And it's for the better for Russia, because india is increasingly moving closer to america now.
