Why Pyrrhic victory in Afghanistan?

I think that it was Paksitan who started bad relationships with the non pashtoons, things can go back to normal if paksitana want. hostility is never good for nobody, it is always good to have better understanding.

Ahmad

You may not know this, but Ahmad Shah was recruited from Kabul university and was among the most promising assets - especially during the Panjshiri rebellion during the time of Daud.

Anyway, I think we will have to disagree about who decided to go his own way (with a little help from the French and the English - and a certain Polish company and Emeralds from Panjshir)

Always remember that Afghanistan, it's personalities, events and foreign players and motivations are not news for us - we follow them with the interest of those who seek to defend themselves.

The longer a single geographically located ethnic group continues to call the shots (backed by ISAF) the longer the disarray in Afghanistan lasts - Things can change in a day, by a single decision, so it may not be a good idea to imagine that hostility will continue to pay dividends.
