That shows Imran Khan might be stupid man who listens stupid advises hence U-turn. You need to be smart to handle politics and manage economy. He is neither.

He was the only stupid man to go to Russia when the world was on alert in regards to invasion of Ukraine. You can’t protect stupidity unfortunately.

Short and Medium term, you are right.

Long term, we had to go through these events to become a mature nation.

If IK is disqualified I think PTI will continue the current setup if they can.

They will boycott National Assembly general elections while contest in provincial elections thus making any federal govt weak if they manage to form Govt in KP and Punjab back again and that too without Imran Khan. This should be IK plan moving forward. Thanks to 18th amendment, any federal govt without Punjab in power will be pretty toothless. PTI will than raise hostility between provincial govts and federal. No one like to be a PM under that situation. Though if PM comes from PPP than with Sindh govt, PPP will have some respite but this setup will not be acceptable to PMLN at all. For now, they are just waiting for IK to get disqualified that is why hanging in the center but if PTI adopts the strategy which I just explained earlier than there will be a setup which will not favor any one.

True. Actually if all else fails, OP's suggestion is possible, quitting the provincial assemblies, forcing an election, only to win by a larger majority will put the centre in a quandary. PTI long-term will want to retain Punjab and KPK, and IMO in another local election in Punjab, they'd sweep.

Worst case scenario, it is better to support main establishments despite some shortcomings than the stupid man who will sink the nation into the ocean.
