Reminds of a funny memory from 1995 or 1996 when the touring under-19 cricket team of England was playing a match against under-19 team of Pakistan in Gujranwala cricket stadium. I watched that match and there were few thousand spectators mostly teenagers like me in the pavilion, time and again the spectators were shouting phrases like "oye chitti b**d aital vaikh" to tease English white players and "kali b**d" to tease one and only black player in their team. We've discussed the specific problems many times. They cannot be generalised in this way. Certainly, deep state elements (just as in every nation), ultra-religious Christian elements (just as in every nation) and hindutva elements have teamed up...perhaps just as they used to in the colonial era in the subcontinent....to conspire against Pakistanis. However, there is no state-wide hatred or jealousy or any other such sentiment towards Pakistanis here. A few nutjobs here and there who are easily handled.

I agree with OP that some anti-Pakistan elements are sheltered by UK. MQM and PML-N and even various NGOs and organised movements are strategic assets but even they can't harm a Pakistan that doesn't harm itself. Pakistan's existential threats remain the hindutva movement and the sell-out Pakistanis who have surrendered their identities for a paltry price.
