Why Pakistan won't fail

Almost nothing you have said has anything to do with failed states. But the fact of the matter is that India has had more violence from terrorism from 1994-2005 than what Pakistan has had from 2001-2011.
I was not talking about failed state. I was replying to your post of comparing violence in India and Pak. But it seems you're gonna keep on repeating it even after addressing it.

Yes, the opinion of a research institute (such as The Fund for Peace, which came up with its bogus 'Failed State Rankings') has no credibility, just like the opinion of a school principal has no credibility. However, the factual figures of the IMF, World Bank, UN & CIA World Factbook does have credibility.
Just like the opinion of the OP on the basis of which this thread was created has no credibility. QED this thread has no credibility.

We are talking about the figures of terrorism here.
What was Operation Searchlight then if not terrorism ?

Pakistans present state might be in a messed up state, but sure it will pick up its feet as the present government is commited to growth and improved relationship with neighbours.
So lets stop this quacking here.

But India still running Railways, Power Sector, Steel Authority of India properly.

Yes, Pakistan has all of these things functioning too. The funny thing is, access to electricity % in India is 58%, whereas Pakistan's isn't too different at 56%.

@Billal, you need not counter argue. Pak is not a failed state. India does not believe so.
Kiindly find my previous posts.
Lets not argue and counter argue over this topic.
Its both good for the people to people relationsip in this forum not to continue on this thread and invite a troll feast.

I have been kinder than that. The world officially states the Bangladesh War a genocide, which is a couple of magnitudes above than what i have stated.

Some stubborn still believe Pakistan is going to fail-
You cannot change the perception of indians which is genetically hard wired-

You are unfortunately one of the few sane Indian posters out there, but no matter how many times I have proved your fellow coutrymen wrong using their own arguments, they just don't get it.

if you know that what is the purpose of couter arguing.
I sugest that we don't start thread, or if people start to not reason logically then its good for us to leave the thread rather than stay and fight with people who are not ready to understand the counter parts logical reviews.

Its not Indias best interst to see a failed state near by in its neighbourhood.

The primary concern of Westerners is that with a strong Taliban presence in Pakistan, the Taliban and other radical Islamic groups could take over the government expanding extremist influence in Pakistan, allowing terrorists to access nuclear weapons. Theoretically this would allow terrorists to travel around the world carrying nuclear weapons in their backpacks.

Fears may not be ungrounded.

In June, the Pakistani military announced that, a few days following the US operation to kill Osama Bin Laden, it had detained Brigadier General Ali Khan for alleged ties to Hizbul Tehrir (HuT), an Islamic militant group. Khan has spent 25 years in the military, serving with UN peace keepers in Bosnia.

In 2008, there were reports that radicals in the Swat valley of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa (KPK) province forced residents to follow strict Islamic law. dictating the common people to observe the strict laws of Islam.

Despite the presence of the Taliban and radical Islamists in Pakistan, the country is stable and during the 64 years since independence, Pakistan has developed strong democratic institutions, civil society, and respect for human rights.

Are you even aware that PA is starting operation in North Waziristan to flush terrorist out ? :azn: ... This comes out after extremist were literally kicked in the behind in South Waziristan , Swat and some other areas of KPK ...
There is strong hatred developing in the Pakistani nation against extremism after Taliban started bombing mosques , CD shops , hotels and military installations ... And you are thinking of a radical Government taking charge of Pakistan ?

Terrorists carrying nuclear weapons in backpacks and travelling around the world ? Are you serious ? How will some stone age people know how to detonate a sophisticated technology like that ? Are you mistaking nukes for TNT ?

As an America on the outside looking in Pakistan has problems most democracies have. In the US we have corruption but it does not mean we are a failed state. For Pakistan their biggest problems is the Wahhabi extremist who terrorizing their nation. They need to fully use their military might to crush the islamic militants in Pakistan. I know what I am going to say is controversial, they need to follow the way Russia waged war against the Chechen rebels. Go all out and do not hold back. They need to crush the Pakistani Taliban, the Hapqqani Network, and other foreign militants who threaten the stability of Pakistan. Also they need to keep a lid on the Baloch separatist. They are losing but Pakistan needs to finish them off. With that things in Pakistan will be better. Well that is my opinion.
