A very thought provoking and excellent article...thanks qsaark...

Lately i have been very disappointed in the N league...NS has ensured that despite all the hue and cry his party is still on the sidelines and unclear on where they stand.

They may think that avoiding the controversies is good for their future but i think this shows a lack of concern for the ordinary citizens of Pakistan who are being murdered by terrorists on a daily basis...a lack of concern which is criminal on their part since they are part of the government and are responsible for the safety of people...

Condemning TTP is solely for the sake of Pakistan...it should be done in this spirit by all those parties who care for Pakistan and claim so.
We all know that TTP is not fighting in Afghanistan so when NS condemns them he shall not be condemning the followers of Mullah Omar...this much NS also knows so his reluctance to at least condemn the TTP is utterly pathetic...
Condemning TTP should not be something that NS should do only when he comes in power, then it would seem very shallow of him but this is precisely what i suspect...

This detachment from the ground realities is something very strange and most disturbing when done by such a strong party, it only gives strength to those who see the ranks divided and want to survive in the ensuing space given to them...

For a leader to be this much afraid of TTP is shameful, especially when the sons and daughters of his motherland are being subjected to perhaps the worst terrorist campaign in memory.

Why nawaz shareef not condemning Taliban?

possibilities=1,he is afraid of them.because who ever condemned them,they have killed them.
2,he supports them,why?as an old disease in our nation that USA is threat to us and taliban can give us relief from this threat.and nawaz is a part of that nation.
3,perhaps by taliban pressure this government will quit and by this way nawaz sharif's unquenchable thurst of becoming a prime minister will be full..thats why perhaps he supports them

When the country is going through hell and a major party does not wish to come forward and present its stance, it means that they don't have a clear and consistent policy for dealing with this menace of terrorism. In politics what you don't do is as important as what you actually do. The Pakistani voter should keep this in mind for the next election. Unfortunately, I don't see ANY leader that is inspiring or has solutions for this country right now, but that does not mean I start calling for the Army to takeover. I hope we will have better leaders in the future.

First off all kindly explain difference between TALIBAN and AMERICAN CIA MOSSAD RAW made TALIBANS!

If Nawaz not open his mouth against TALIBANS so THN ITS GOOD FOR US!

The Only way to KICK these Americans from Afghanistan is to use all those REAL TALIBANS who workd with Pakistan Agencies in Past. If CIA MOSSAAD RAW using (all those SO CALLED TALIBANS) against Pakistan. SO WHY not Pakistan use REAL talibans.

Secondly Talibans are not TERRORIST! We are not in the state (full of independent) US have strong hold on Pakistan since last 60 years atleast these Talibans do something for thr independence and sweep americans from Afghanistan and thats Afghaniz RIGHT! Afghanistan is not for AMERICANS. Talibans are not TERRORIST even this statement also came from even US side that Talibans are not Terrorist. Thy sacrifies and fight for thr independent state. Atleast better thn us to talk on just discussion forums and even not able to do anything for Pakistan. Talibans are much better thn us atlesat doing something for thr country and what we do for Pakistan ? just chatting on the forums thats it ? We are still under US control.
