1.1500 yers ago they were still a beacon as the newly Eastern Roman Empire (Byzantine) was an off shoot of the European Roman Empire

2.Europe is not a beacon of civilisation today but by all means,Europe created the modern world and Europe improoves on it only if by this experiment of putting people of different religions,ethnicities together.You don't see the illuminated cultures of Asia like China,Japan taking in so many non citizens even though Japan has a severe demogrphic problem.

Again, these are European problems. There are many within Europe who are NOT ok with the new arrivals despite sharing their religious beliefs. You are continuously mixing your current frustration at a social problem within Europe has a blanket hatred for anyone with the same skin tone or faith.

I don't like general terms like East, West, Western Europe, South Asia, etc because it does a disservice to the countries and cultures within those regions that excelled and inflates those that didn't perform.
