I was shocked at seeing the title of this thread...when i started reading the posts i noticed it is 11 year old thread...I remember those days..i joined this sitr in 2012...there were too many threads on loading and power cuts back then..but then again i got to read that nawaz sharif did some work in resolving power crisis...is the problem still not solved? in my state in india even the remotest of villages dont experience 1 hour of power cut daily...and here we are talking about one of the biggest cities of pk experiencing hours of power cut a day

Benazir Bhutto came out with her Power Policy 1994, under which investors were free to propose the site, technology and fuel. There was exemption from corporate income tax, sales tax, Iqra and custom duties. Benazir's Power Policy was an outstanding success.

I wonder what was this guy smoking when he came to this conclusion.

Everything exempt (free) and based of expensive foreign oil. 25 years later Pakistan is still stuck in circular debt.

No mention of fuel free dams at all.
