Is it denial that we are reporting those crimes as front page news? We just enacted the life term for sex with a minor below 12. We are building millions of toilets for households, so they don't have to relieve themselves in the open. Now the govt. is committing to providing tap water for every home. These are massive undertakings to give our women her dignity not to expose themselves to danger when they step outside to relieve themselves or to fetch water. Electric connection is being provided to every village and it will be extended to every home in a decades time.
No way we are in denial. These crimes have touched our very core and we will keep fighting to eradicate from our society. It was really unfortunate that your GF was harrassed while visiting India. I just hope we transform our country as we move forward.
