The reason is that most Chinese science students are not good at communication and are good at doing things.
They have few suitable people for top management, while Indians are very talkative and have a good head for big planning.Suitable for senior management, mainly for communication.

So,these are totally different types of immigrants.
And then when Chinese immigrants get wealthy and educated in the US, they quite often return to China to start their own business ,while the wealthier Indians in America never leave the US.

My countrymen have this embarrassing habit of quoting the West to qualify their achievements.
This sort of feelgood posts tomtoming achievements of Indians abroad are forwarded all the time within the country, even if they are pornstars.
In my experience the highest aim in life for most Indian students/achievers are to emigrate to the US, or another 5 eyes nation. It's so pervasive that it's considered normal. The country spends huge amounts on their education but they are already planning to ditch while still studying.
Whereas from countries such as China a major chunk is probably made up of people who have failed in life..like Falun Gong, dissidents, rebels, corrupt, activists of all sorts . They are taken in for their propaganda value.
