India was estimated to be a Supa Powa by 2012 by its former president back in 2008. And Hillary was projected to win the presidency in 2016. In another word, the soft toilet paper I use to wipe after going #2 (using a toilet, by the way) worth more than any projections.

Indian consumer is weak for its size. The only thing weaker than it's consumer market is its export capability. That in turn make its consumer market look relatively strong. This cause Indians in turn to brag about its "large" consumer market as this is only in comparison with its non existent export capability. Sad.

I disagree with the part "weak consumer"..actually it's very strong...indians don't make anything technically good..which they can sell to west..on the contrary they are very good consumer of western products and you won't find 1.2B such consumers anywhere else..which give western companies a good share of profit.

Cars are exported to Mexico, South Africa, Europe (Hyundai, Suzuki, Ford) of and now Japan too (by Suzuki)
