WHY I REFUSED TO HEAD #LETTERGATE COMMISSION: Lt. Gen. (r) Tariq Khan

Listen, any which way the Army picked, it was going to look bad. Let's just realize the reality of Pakistan today.

The opposition, by hook or crook, beat PMIK with the NCV. They passed the vote with 174 people without anyone from the PTI lota gang voting with them. PTI should have played that better.

Their petition on foreign collusion is still sitting with the CJP and his bench. Why are you all not asking why the courts did not move on it faster and open their doors at midnight? Why was the opposition's petition entertained and not that of the PTI's?

Some critique of the army is fine but people are going overboard. The SCP validated the opposition's stance, not the army.

Who would have thought people will come out like this?

The time is running out.................

I hope this can be reversed otherwise public is gong to face wrath on Indian tanks and soldiers
The only way to reverse this is to let bajwa go.
C mon man you cant be this much incompetent.
Forget 2021, since january 2022 i think we have lost 100( ive lost count) soldiers.
I have maximum respect for the soldiers and all the personnel that is doing his/her job. By this point you think we would have gone after the indian and iranians( yes **** them too, stop with this bullshit that they are innocent), but no. If he cant do his job there is no point in keeping him.

Apparently it's not about him trying to save the seat for himself but to stop someone else taking it ...

PA is not one man army, there various mechanisms in place to ensure that some doesnt become this much powerfull and possibly go rougue. Entire top leadership is at fault/guilty. There is no way he can stay COAS while enemy is butchering our boys, and yet we do nothing.

What BAJWA has done to Pakistan Military in one night, the enemy could not do it in 75-years !! Does not matter who this Retd General is and what he has done for the country, FOR PEOPLE OF PAKISTAN THEY ARE ALL THE SAME CORRUPT ASSHOLES, THEY BELONG TO THE SAME FLOCK !!!

Exactly it will be too late, which is why we need to be careful here. If things get out of control then I can expect and Indian invasion
Surely its better to kick out Bajwa then?

I have lost all respect for COAS and the heads of the Military.
So have most Pakistanis, I have never heard this kind of anger and criticism directed at Pak Military.
This is all due to the actions of Bajwa, the defenders of Pakistan are now seen as parasites working for a foreign power.

I never thought I would ever say the above words about the Pak military.

THIS IS WHAT BAJWA HAS DONE.

Had the Army wanted to hide something, they would have told Gen Tarique not to bother.

Hi,

Not as simple as that---. Army gambled on the fact the Imran Khan was a coward and could not do anything drastic---and within a couple of day he would be out.

And knowing the mentality of pakistanis and army generals---that army official played it right---throw it out on the General---he will dump it on his own---.

Thanks for the kind words. I am soft because I care about the institution of the army. It is not one person(s) that is important to me, rather the institution of the military for reasons I have already stated before. My position in this regard will not change, all I can ask is that people stay civil in the discourse and not malign the entire institution of the military.

We all greatly respect and admire the institution, but as you said, that one person is the bone of contention here and has ruined the image of the instutition.

As for the OP and Gen Tariq, I do agree with his reasons. The govt would go in a day, and the commission would likely be dissolved. Moreover, at his age and with the illustrious career he has had, no point in getting politicized. Thirdly, there was an implied pressure by the army on him, the kind where you don't say no to your friend bu say 'Dekh lay yar marzi hai'.

IMO, the govt should have gone for a commission early on and appointed a retired judge along with a military man. Now, they should go to the SC and get this done.

That's just as bad / even more retarded.
4D chess which is multidimensional, its more complicated than we think. The other guy may be detrimental for the institution arguably doing more damage in long run that we're seeing. That's what some inside voices have said

Do you think the Judiciary just acted on its own to once again side with corrupt thieves? This was all orcchestrated by three people….Bajwa, Anjum and Abbas.

In turn, I was told to do as I please but to be careful of the consequences of getting politicized when I would conclude my investigation. One way or the other, the Army would be blamed by one side or the other only because I was the head of the Commission.

Yep army, that is Pakistan army has never ever played an active, overt, covert role in country's politics.

Aren't there already retired army men in political parties? And why would public criticise army for a conclusion reached by a retired Lt. General?

No amount of ain bain shain is gonna work this time, they (Jarnail) miscalculated and it backfired, they seriously need to upgrade their tactics.

And how shameless one can be to run tv adverts for a serving Jarnail a public servant, doob kay mar jana chaiay bajay ko iss harkat pay.
