the prayers wouldn't be the same if recited in our native tongues...reciting them in sanskrit gives that blissful and devotional feeling..it connects to godPerfectly put. Sanskrit is indeed the most beautiful language I have had the honour and pleasure of learning (and teaching a little bit to a few as well).
I do love my mother tongue Tamil the same degree....but it is in Sanskrit I have said the same prayers (to the supreme God) each morning and evening since a little boy...one of the ways I connect mind to my soul daily.
There is quite nothing like reading and understanding the Upanishads in the original language. India would do well to expand its reach back into its earlier era of greatness.
@padamchen
look at her happy face bois. it makes her happy, just look at how happy does she seem.
how to attain calmness
You can always open other threads to discuss it (Guess it's already there).Yup can see calmness over Indian media, LUL. I bet Arnub goswami practices this too.
Btw, it's not wise to post dokhla, shokla, shloka or whatever just to put an emphasis on your opinion. I mean, it would be retarded of me to bring in sufi videos in here just to illustrate how calming sufi music/poetry is.
