Most people are glad they're Pakistanis but a lot of people want good housing, plenty of food, good roads, less pollution, learning how to be advanced without being westernized and still retaining Islamic value systems too

We need to make it a requirement that any politician that wants to be elected has to have bettered their province in a way that it has forwarded their living standards.

Pakistanis should not have to go to Gulf lands or to western lands

They should have all the qualities of life and family values instilled in Pakistan and have all the luxuries that are given in many other lands too

I personally don't want Sindh to resemble India even in architecture either

This is Sindh

Corruption.
We need to stop making excuses about corruption this and that

We need to witness just next door to Iran which is at least a second world standard land

We should compare ourselves with the middle easterners in Gulf lands, Turkey, Iran not with India or Afghanistan

Corruption is an excuse? I thought it was a fact.

Pakistan is the world's 2nd most corrupt country after Nigeria. It's isn't turning into Switzerland anytime soon if we don't face the fact: corruption.

the answer is in your question "the politicians"

India doesn't even toilets no need to even bring them into a conversation about development

The arabs have oil so they can buy engineers to architects to design their buildings and roads

We need to send our youth to be good at urban planning with an Islamic background to that

In my opinion, having old uneducated panwalas running a land is not smart

Nawaz Sharif and Bhutto are not smart people

They don't have the resources to plan out ways to fix problems

The chinese president is well educated and has a team of highly qualified individuals that assist in their decision making skills too

We shouldn't have morons who are just family conscious and not state conscious running the land

If they don't show improvement in a year, they need to be changed to another person

However unless better leadership skills are taught to Pakistanis, this will go on more, we don't need village elders sitting in the parliament we need more youth there

@Darwin
i ask you one question: being poor looking for food, schooling, health for your family, would you get these for your family by looking at infrastructure and clapping at the achievement of these thugs?

nobody here is against infrastructure but it must not be a infrastructure-infrastructure game for fun sake and come at the cost of people and their lives who suffer and are suffering since 70 years.

Cpec is not really smart, would you want to end up being debt slaves to China later?

The Chinese did the same in Sri Lanka and also Africa too

We need more youth that are skilled in development

Fixing infastructure benefits them

Fact is fixing how much per person erns and health education should be impeoved above all roads airports arre not important

If citizen erans good enough to run his family and pay taxes and get health and education top notch will resolve all issues with it

If your citizens earns less he will see other options if earning blackmailing crime terrorism etc

Infrastructural development is mostly a team effort, i.e the entire chain, from the pm to the civil engineer on the ground level must be after the same goal. You mix in clan thinking, personal agendas, vested interests and general greed, the speed of overall development goes down considerably. A single man can only do so much.

India doesn't even toilets no need to even bring them into a conversation about development

I would like to disagree on this point. A significant number of problems we face are common to us both. The problems we face and the solutions we have implemented, can prove to be a valuable study experience for Pakistani developers.

Yes you're right, I've noticed that despite Arabs not being the smartest out there, they want stuff done on time, the artificial islands were said they were going to be built and they made sure everything was on schedule and on time. The Germans and the Chinese are also time conscious people and want stuff done on time. The team effort mentality that this is a state act and that it needs to be done or else your reputation is at stake shows that these people are punctional and organized also.

in Pakistan doing project is entirely different, budget allocations are limited, mostly projects are on political grounds with certain benefits. cpec is a big example where target was given for early harvest projects within general elections.

Arabs don't do anything, they just spend, they have money. westerners know how to milk the cow.

Let's be fair wrt nawaz shariff. He gave Pakistan nice motorways in the 90s by roping the Koreans in.
Then during ppp era your railways and power sector were in the dumps. He has revived both in a short period of 4 years.
Also he got the chinese onboard for cpec when no one would touch Pakistan.
He tried to do more by pursuing peace with India and paid the price,, since the establishment would lose its raison d'être without conflict with India.
