What's new

Why dont India play China's own game. Give missiles and sophisticated arms to taiwan.

Yes India has a lot to develop both economically and in defence as we are not at the top most level...

but my point is in comparsion to China, whom India can easily tackle...but the only point is we dont want, to continue economic development...

China is also no where near the top most level....both are evenly matched and want to avoid confrontation to maintain the economic development they have acheived in past few decades......

Still we are atleast 20 yrs behind China. And yes, to achieve this equality India has to avoid any type of confrontation on both eastern and western borders.
By, supplying arms to the enemy of our enemy doesnot make a difference..It will only diminsh the current reputation and respect among other countries on International level, which India has earned since its Independence.

but there is always some GAP b/w different nations...the gap is not that much...(also India can overcome it in next decade and half...)

Both have sufficient resources at their disposal to cause imense damage to each other...thats what matters...

meanwhile India selling arms to Taiwan doesnt serve any interest ...so no need to sell weapons to Taiwan i agree...

This is another example of an Indian guy exaggerate about the capability of India and was caught. Please have some descency and do not exaggerate. Bragging is the sign of lack of self worth and you guys deserve more than that.
This is another example of a citizen of a puny country not knowing his place in the world. If you notice no one in the thread is actually interested in asking if Taiwan will be interested in any agreement with India. You are so insignificant that your opinions are not even sought for. N u DARE to talk about countires are people who are ahead of you? Next time you want to open that BIG MOUTH of yours, remember who you are and stick to your place.

Maybe i am wrong! India biggest yield is only 60KT not 1,000KT.
Shakti I
A two stage thermonuclear device with a boosted fission primary, its yield was downgraded from 200 KT(theoretical) to 40 KT for test purposes.

Test yields
The yields from the three tests on the 11th of May 1998 were put at 58 kilotons by the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre based on seismic data obtained at the test site 3 kilometres from the test shafts. The tests were defined as a complete success, and it was determined that all the devices and their components had performed flawlessly. To remove all doubts, the senior scientists involved in the Pokhran operations addressed the press on the 17th of May. In this press meet the scientists claimed that the fission device produced a yield of 15 KT and .3 KT was obtained from the low yield device. They also claimed that the thermonuclear device gave a total yield of 45 KT, 15 KT from the fission trigger and 30 KT from the fusion process and that the theoretical yield of the device (200 KT) was reduced to 45 KT in order to minimize seismic damage to villages near the test range. The village closest to the test range, Khetolai, was a mere 5 kilometres away.

There was always a Thermo nuclear device. The prime concern for the tests were minimum collateral damage in the area. Going from 200KT to 1 MT is no big deal. Once you've mastered fusion, you can increase yield by proportionally increasing the nuclear material.

This discussion is about selling arms to Taiwan and get Taiwan to side with India. faithfulguy is from Taiwan and you're telling him his country is insignificant?? Is that how your diplomacy works? If China and Iran had that kind of diplomacy missiles would already be flying.

Yes that guy is obviously a diplomat.

Anyway this thread is beyond stupid. A lot of stupid in one thread, all compressed to form a giant ultradense ball of stupid that rolls around universe collecting more stupid. Similar to a snowball. Except bigger, less snowy and full of stupid.

Gotta love the entertainment value though.

Read my posts. I (& many Indians) haven't really said we want to do anything of that sort. And in this case it isn't about Taiwan, it is about putting down an upstart with a big mouth. I know when to use Diplomacy n when not to.

First of all, we are not interested in other issues apart from our own,

second.

If China and Iran had that kind of diplomacy missiles would already be flying.

There is no diplomacy there, its simple logic, You cant nuke anyone...

Helping Taiwan will yeild little results.I think India must form a task force comprising of tibetan refugees in India .Train them and arm them .Then send them into China to foment trouble there.

good idea but china can always do the same by arming the maoist in india

Both sides have avoided these kinds of adventures. Neither has china taken advantage of Maoist situation, nor has India allowed the tibeteans to do more than peaceful proests or allow the dalai lama to be in politics. That's why I believe that though we are in a 'tense' balance, we can work things out. Point is that China should stop propping up pakistan...realistically India will never consider pak to be it's equal. Plus the gap is widening beyond what china can ever help out. U guys gonna give them nuke subs n aircraft carriers? No. Then why go against history?

well its not 20 its at least 40-50 but let suppose 20

just think in 20 years how powerful will be Pakistan and how will be equation

we have to avoid war at any condition but we have to do something very sharp and effective

Please explain how India is going to overcome the difference between China and India?

To avoid War, major concern is to maintain and enhance the level of trust .
