Why do pakistani and bngledshi restaurants label themselves as Indian restaurants?

Don't flatter yourself too much.

I've not seen any Pakistani restaurants call themselves Indian. They're typically Lahore's/Karachi/Kashmiri/Desi etc.

Bengali restaurants on the other hand almost always have Indian written somewhere.

And generally speaking, to most English people...they're all Indian restaurants.

dude...I have personally dinned in restros in Paris, Nederlands and London named as indian restros but owned by Pakistani and BD....had quick chat with one of the restro owner in Paris, restro name I think was "Taj Mahal" Indian restro...he told me, we call it Indian restro bcoz the brand is familer to people and people are ready to pay extra for having Indian food.....I tell you guys, the food I eat was pathetic..even low cost restro in India cooks better food than that food! ..somewhere it has to be stopped...IMO, anyone can own a restro serving any particular national cuisine but they must ensure they serve the authentic food...

your right but what you cant say being new is that pakistnies being pakistanies will never ever aknowledge that so called gorras be it in UK or in USA or in Europe or Aurstralia always preffer Indian resturants, motels , accomudation and hospitality over pakistani and feel more secure with indians than pakistanies and thats why most bangladeshi & pakistanies name there resutrants ans indian resturants to attract white clients and rich indian NRIs cuase most pakistanies and bangaldeshies often cant pay the heavy bills they generate but as they say on Pakistani Defence forum no matter how truth full an indians argument might be if its against so called "pakistani nazzaria" you will be punished and mods and admins like @WebMaster will only be bystanders when there so called TT ANALysts will keep giving negetive ratings to indians fro trivial matters am i wrong @Slav Defence @Horus @Irfan Baloch

Aryan is not a race- It is a linguistic group- Dravidian linguistic group can be differentiated easily in either Hindi or English-

Actually It surprises me sometimes Pakistanis claim Aryan ancestry, sometimes Dravidian to relate with Indus civilization- and both times they develop horrible theories without knowing Aryan or Dravidian is a language group and not racial identity-

You don't need ten pages to figure this out, its no philosophical mystery, you need 10 seconds of half-assed staring at a wall while doing office work to know that outside of Asia, people often refer to individuals with mongoloid physical characteristics as "Chinese" whereas they can be from any of the several SE Asian countries. Similarly, people assume that all brown people are "Indians" and thus to pander to their ignorance and show that their establishment serves "Brown People Food", these shops might advertise themselves as "Indian Food".
Since the term is not trademarked or copyrighted, I advise that you suck it up and bear with it.
