Why do Bangladeshis go to India?

what nonsense 11lakh bangalis visit india in a year ? they can contribute hardly a drop in ocean as far as indian economy is concerned , there are malls in my city which have more than 11 lakh visitors which actually do purchase there .
Why are you dissing legal visitors from Bangladesh?

On illegal migrants, let authorities do their job. No need for regular folks to fire loose cannons.

Unless you are an oil-country no aspect of your economy is going to be the sole bread earner of your country...however the amount the 11 lakh Bangladeshis spend in India is going to be considerably larger than what 11 lakh average visitors spend in mall..nobody goes to another country just to buy a pair of shoes or a t-shirt. Secondly, is your demeaning of the contribution these visitors have to your economy just because they are not the sole bread earner of your economy a reflection of your nation's mistreatment of your farmers because they aren't the sole bread earners of India?

So is it a common thing to go up to India for certain medical technologies?
It is very common. Tbh India offer world class medicare in very reasonable price, and in Bangladesh you can't get such thing, not even closer. Indian doctors are very friendly with any class of people, and very professional. Not only doctors but nurses and other medical stuffs are also very professional.

Also doctors of India aren't arrogant and money hungry like Bangladeshi doctors ( few maybe exception, but majority are bad).

In Bangladesh there is a pact between doctors and diagnostic centers and that is minimum 30% commission, mean doctors will get 30% commission from diagnostic center for every test. Some doctors demand more. It actually increase expense. . In short medical infrastructure in Bangladesh is very poor quality.

However when it comes to govt hospitals people( who can afford medical expense ) avoid it generally. Although it became much better compared to former BNP Jamat govt , still they can't provide medical care in an acceptable standard.

I am a man, but I confess that I love shopping for vinyl records :P

And medical tourism?

So is it a common thing to go up to India for certain medical technologies?

Yes it is common because medical services are way cheaper in India compared to Bangladesh (and in some cases better qualitatively), even considering expenses of airfare and incidentals. @Atlas bhai's assessment is accurate as mentioned above.

Buying vinyl records is not shopping, it is called building a collection. You actually have something of substance and value at the end of the day for the money spent.

I used to have a high quality Technics direct-drive turntable and a nice hi-fi setup back in Bangladesh. Spent many a fun evening tweaking sound equalization and audio dynamics.

Vinyl records sound different from digital audio streams. The warmth and tonality due to analog output is very different.

But we are getting off the topic here.
