Judging by the comments made in this thread, I can conclude that Punjabi is considered to be a crude language and is being replaced by Urdu. This is good news for Pakistan. But wrt India we aren't so lucky. Punjabi is being romanticized and shoved down our throats. It's beyond disgusting.

Btw, why is a lady driving a terrible copy of Maruti 800 assumed to be rich? Am I missing something?

Since when it is required in Punjab to speak Urdu in public ? It is not like that an MNA is addressing the National Assembly. If Punjabis can not freely speak Punjabi on Punjabi soil, we seriously have to take a decision if Urdu is a valid language on Punjabi soil. Being liberal has it's limit.

But to impose it on others and then use Bollywood to create negative stereotypes of other nationalities is not right at all.

I have watched numerous TV debates of a crybaby Punjabi General Bakshi who loves to give sermons on Punjabi supremacy in erstwhile East Pakistan. The irony.
Who is speaking about Punjabi supremacy in India? How language of a nationality who makes 2 percent of the total populace is being imposed upon us? How Punjabis have hijacked all form of media and are promoting Punjabi supremacy at the expense of others?
I find elites of India to be hypocrites who will discuss Punjabi supremacy in Pakistan at the drop of a hat, but when it comes to discussing Punjabi supremacy of a much more greater magnitude prevalent in India they maintain silence.

I can't even discuss Punjabi supremacy in India on pdf. Recieved an instant ban last time around

Wow, didn't know that the Pakistani Punjabis are wary of speaking their own mother tongue in their province. In contrast, most Indians can readily converse in 3 or more languages and no one dares to ridicule anyone for speaking their native language in their own state.

Your bollywood is a propaganda machine. They don't include third class Punjabi segments in their movies out of love but to capture the attention of 60% Pakistan. However we laugh our everything off at their half backed Punjabi patronization to please us, try harder!
