I think this act of Saddam Hussein was more related to the saying; "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".

Saddam hated the Iranians but he hated the Americans even more, and so instead of letting his air force get destroyed by superior forces, he took away this satisfaction from the Americans and built up the power of the Iranians.

Great move to spite the Americans I must say.

In the Iran-Iraq War, Baghdad failed to destroy the Iranian air force on the ground in the opening attacks. Iraq then formulated a strategy of sending its air craft to friendly neighboring states where they could not be hit by Iran. That worked to preserve much of the air force during the war.

During the Gulf conflict, Iraq followed a similar plan. First, it tried to hide many of its planes by dispersing them throughout the country. When that didn’t work, it decided to send aircraft to the only nation that the Coalition would not hit, Iran. 173 fighters, bombers, and transports were flown to Iran as a result. The problem was, after the war, Tehran did not return the planes, and Iraq lost a sizeable piece of its air force.

india doesn't have the capability or the means to fight Pakistan successfully. If they did, they would have attacked us by now. Especially considering the hatred indians have for Pakistan and Pakistanis cannot be matched by anyone else in the world. It's beyond extreme.

PS I have a better idea, why don't we move our nukes to Afghanistan if india attacks......lol.......

Even better if we can shift some nukes to China through Karakoram. If U.S decides to attack

Dhi Qar (IraqiNews.com) 88 Russian Sukhoi fighter planes arrived at the Imam Ali military base in Nasiriyah, Dhi Qar. Today a security source said that the base of the Imam Ali (AS) received 88 Russian Sukhoi multi-brands, which were held by the Republic of Iran for more than 20 years.
