America needs to really wake up and stop whining. It needs to fix the social political system and economic system. The only way to compete with China over the long term is to have its "EDUCATION" right. Education is the secret to China's long-term sustainable rise. Recently, America was shocked to see how much the American students are falling behind on science, math and writing, while Chinese students excel in those three on international tests. Many in the US realize the challenge but also quickly point out that those Chinese students were from the developed Shanghai area and they have more money and better facilities. Wrong!!! students in Shanghai or Beijing are known to be lousy students who perform a lot worse than those from poorer areas. They have much lower college entrance thresholds, and normally they cannot enter the top Chinese universities. This shows how wrong the US is: it looks at education only by money... while it is the will and love of knowledge that make a people worship education. America was in shock when it learned that China produced a stealth fighter, the fastest super-computer, longest highway system, longest high-speed rail system, ...all happened within a number of years since its reform started in 1979 when China was a lot worse than Ethiopia or Ecuador.

The US won't fall, it will just need a large adjustment. The greenback won't be the reserve currency forever, and the US will start to have to build stuff in order to keep dollars flowing. Same with oil sales in dollars, that won't last forever either. So the US will probably always remain a large power, especially if it united with the EU, but it won't remain the top dog. (But won't become small and irrelevant like the UK either)

Then...How far away is that 'not forever' ? According to the Russians, the US was supposed to 'collapse' back in Jun/Jul '10. Then China was supposed to 'dump' US bonds, but instead the Chinese government ended up buying more. Then it was the 'Occupy' movement that ended up with nothing but a bunch of stoned out thugs. And now we have the same damn prediction from Bangladesh, a country so 3rd world that its best import is sympathy from NGOs.

I can't argue with children. You know damn well there is always bs 'noise' spread around. The US has a good 10-15 years left as undisputed top dog, I reckon. Later on their might will keep deminishing, first financially, later on militarily. But that's not exact science when or where. But you have to be an absolute retard to believe a nation of 300 million people in a far flung area of the world is forever going to keep dominating. And no, Russia won't ever take it's place. Russia is a second tier power at best.

Afterall, the U.S.S.R. was a farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr more greater threat/had way more capabilties/influence(though all mainly militarily and less economical) than China has today or could ever have in coming decades. Yet the U.S never fell, what makes you think the U.S will fall today that it has even far more advantages/dominance/lead over any country on earth by a wide margin?? People should KEEP DREAMING though its not illegal yet.


NB: China is merely catching up to be honest, it still has a long way to go to even come close to U.S power/influence/technological lead/dominance. So China rising fast, doesnt in anyway means the U.S falls.lool

If China really believed America was going to collapse we wouldn't be building DF-21D and other such systems that are designed to defend against a target that has overwhelming naval power.

How are we in shock about a stealth fighter? It's not like we are the only country on this planet that can figure out how it works. If a country puts the resources towards it...they will build one.

The fastest super-computer. Again if you put the resources towards it you can build a room-sized fast supercomputer (until the next guy builds a room and a half sized supercomputer...and the guy after that a two room sized one).

Longest highways system. We built ours over 50 years ago (without computers, GPS, and other technical advances). Maybe we are in shock that it took them this long to build one.

Longest high-speed rail system. How can we be in shock about that since we have never had long high speed rail systems???
