Why cant we increase bullion reserves?

Finally some mature reply. That is what i was wondering, its not a complicated process. Why even give it to foreign company?

Probably because it is a complicated process and we don't have the capital or the expertise to do it.

BTW it was musharraf that mucked up reqo diq not zardari.

This mining company took us to arbitration court and won billions of dollars. We've appealed the ruling but if we fail to win it the Balochistan govt. will have to pay a lot of money to this company. Maybe even more than our entire forex reserves.

Thats wat i was wondering. Gold used to be extracted even thousands of years ago. How can it be complicated now.
