Why can't China have national integration like India?

but when china seeks national integration through assimilation, it becomes an issue


why can't china have national integration through assimilation like in india?

1. in india, a northern caucasian is also as much indian as a dravidian from south or a mongolian tribal from northeast, they are all considered indians
similarly, in china, a han is as much chinese as a uyghur from xinjiang or a so called tibetan from tibet, why can't they all be considered chinese?

2. in india, hindi is the national language for a northern caucasian, a southern dravidian or a northeastern mongolian, they all have to learn hindi to get government jobs and interact with each other
in china, why chinese can't be the official language for a han, a uyghur and a so called tibetan?

3. in india, a northern caucasian man can marry a dravidian girl or a northeastern mongolian girl
in china, why can't a han boy marry a uyghur girl or a so called tibetan girl?

4. in india, if anyone claims to be non-indian for his different ethnicity, it is considered as a serious criminal offense and treason
in china, how come anyone claim to be non-chinese for his different ethnic background?

5. in india, assimilation is called national integration, western anglos praise it and say india is a melting pot
in china, why can't assimilation be considered national integration? why can't china be a melting pot?

You know we not only do that, but the Lama and that shady businesswomen that we arrested for bribery, and other crap in DC is not a good representation of minorities in China.


Most minorities in China have no physical difference to us anyways, Mandarin is the official language. All Chinese are chinese, there are tons of Uyghur and Tibetan, pilots, NCOs, officers, government workers, in fact for government work around 51%.

Especially in the Chendu and Lanzhou military regions their presence is pretty big.

As to intermarriage, we do that all the time, it's quite common especially to those going to the big cities to seek jobs.

no one claim not to be Chinese only his unholyness the lama and the other crooked businesswoman in DC.



Lastly you want to know why China isn't a melting pot? Same reason US wants you as ally, they dont' see you as a threat,but US is clearly recognizing our strength in Asia now.

Grow a little stronger and see if America still sees your system as good.

I'd prefer that the gov do not officially categorize people into different ethnic group, and do not put ethnicity on ID card.

Unfortunately like many other policies, it can hardly be revised due to ideological reason.

At this time, most of the minor groups actually benefit from this policy, except Xinjiang and Tibet.

Geez, this is the first time i heard somebody saying india is more integrated than china. Don't be fooled by the propaganda. Ethnic Han people account for 92% of total population. Tibet and Uyghur people combined no more than 2% of total population, and most of those people are peaceful, they are just fine with other ethnics in the country, at least there are no guerrillas fighting against government like what happen in India's northeast part.

Intermarriage with Uyghur is rare because they are Muslim and most others in the country are not. 98% of total population has no problem of intermarriage, people just pay very little attention to their spouse's ethnic background or south/north/west/east. BTW, chinese is also relatively homogeneous with skin color, so that's not a problem at all for most people. I really doubt all those can happen in India. India is more integrated, really?

We have 18 official languages. Most of NI and NE know Hindi.
Rest are 4 dravidian language .They use english only necessary time.They can move forward without English.
