they dont resist because they are held down and probably a scared as hell, not knowing whats about to happen.....but you see, in actuality halal is the cleanest way of slaughtering animals and halal meat is cleanest to consume as well. It's also more civilized and humane than what they do in the west or in other societies.

Animal Slaughter depends on surrounding environment. For example How skillful the butcher is?

In Eid mostly amateurs try their luck, they scare the animal before being slaughter which results in a messy forceful ending.

Secondly, Halal slaughter is the least painful way of slaughter also animal don't suffer much.

Most of Islamic rituals are borrowed from Arab-African tribes. The halal way of killing animal is borrowed from Jews. Jews too follow the same way of killing animal, jews too do khatna.
