Who's the richest Pakistani alive?

Well when the You get Two dollars for a pound, that means 390 x 2 = $780 million. This is much closer to the billion dollar mark than the $460 million Mian mansha that Adu worked out ( assuming what he worked out was correct). So is Sir Anwar the richest Pakistani alive or is there anyone else out there?

Except sir, that Anwar seems to be a person of pakistani descent, not a pakistani. So the result is still in favour of Mansha at 460 m$.

Eg: Lord Swaraj Paul is not an Indian. Laxmi Mittal is Indian because he has an Indian passport. Let us not confuse origins and the real ones.

True but is there any evidence to suggest that Mr Parvez does not have a pakistani passport?
Moreover Mr Pervez was born in Pakistan...

Generally many billionaires does mean unequal distribution of wealth, with most of the money and industry in the hands of the one or two. India is one of those countries where wealth is concentrated in the hands of the one or two upper castes. Standard of living is a much more valuable indicator.

Lord Swaraj Paul also was born in India. That doesnt make the cut.
I have tried for it on the net. It was no where mentioned that he still holds the pakistani passport. However I found this on the net.
Most members are citizens of the United Kingdom or other Commonwealth realms of which the Queen is Head of State. Citizens of other countries, however, may be admitted as "honorary members". They do not count towards the numerical limits aforementioned, nor are holders of the GBE, KBE or DBE addressed as "Sir" or "Dame"

You might want to take a list of these honorary british knights.

In this Pervez doesnt figure.

Pakistan after 1947 never had Queen as Head of State. Basically after 1947, whoever Pakistani got this award can get this award, but cant call himself "Sir".

But the bestway group's officially states his name as Sir Anwar Pervez OBE H Pk.

So he definitely has british citizenship. Whether he still holds a Pakistani citizenship, I dont know. It depends. However, it all depends whether Pakistan has dual citizenship, when was it started and the most important thing-whether Pervez has it. So basically,

i) British Citizenship-yes
ii) Pakistani Citizenship - dont know.

So, in the interest of dealing with only facts, let us not consider him for counting him under Pakistanis.

So i guess its better not to have Billionaires at all from a country !! I see your point !!

 well said down with the rich long live socialism and communism man i miss shaheed Bhutto would have fixed these curse from the British legacy but after all we have a reputation of shooting our own foot :hitwall: :china:

I don't know any Pakistanis who terminate their Pakistani passport after getting British Nationality. I mean there's no benifit in it , and there is plently of benifit of keeping his dual nationality. But in the interest of dealing with facts we cannot rule him out, because no one has presented us the fact that he does not hold Pakistani nationality.
I wouldn't be surprised if there were richer Pakistani's out there, but who choose not to disclose their wealth.

When did Pakistan start dual nationality?

Pervez would have got his citizenship around 65-68 since he migrated to UK in 1962.

So if you can give the answer the first question, we might have an idea on it.

I only today got to know that Indians (living in India) have two trillionaries(more than Rs. 1 lakh crore, the Ambani brothers). Premzi's pace seems to weakened a bit.

1 lakh crores that around $25B. F*king rich these guyz are.........
hope in the future they out run billy gates and they get outrun by me:devil:

Actually you are not allowed to have dual nationality (at least with The U.K. anymore...)

Yeah there was a scandal a few years ago when some rich Indians tried to buy British passports.....The Mittal lot if I remember correctly.....

Probably it was the hindujas. But it will be a different case, because Indian rules didnt allow for dual citizenship.

What the hell?? Keys I think your really msitaken, I know loads of people who have a dual nationality , British and Pakistani.. so why wouldn't Mr Pervez?
Im pretty much 100% sure this is the case, and Bhangra FYI Pakistan does permit dual nationality, but when joining say the air force you have to give up the other nationality and keep only the Pakistani one.
Anyway Keys.. check your sources again I'm sure your wrong on this one.
Anyway there isn't any benifit in giving up Pakistani nationality for just a british one.
One more thing the 460 million dollar figue is just speculative, He's almost definately worth more, but so far Mr. Pervez is controvercially top here. No one can prove that he has or has not got a Pakistani passprort.....yet..
