Everyone knows that is rubbish. It is "secular" on paper only. Has done absolutely nothing to stem religious violence, division or politics based on religion. There are many so-called liberal Sri Lankans who want Sri Lanka to emulate India "Look at how secular India is! We should be like that too!"

India will eventually in the very near future become the worlds largest and only Hindu democracy.

When the people renegotiate their ties with the state is where terrorism and extremism grow.
