its because of the strongly blowing wind.if the direction of wind is opposite to the aircraft then it makes easy to lift specially for glider type aircrafts.it even helps in landing too.

the second video, those jets were designed cuz of a special request made by the US army to quickly drop off and take off troops.. i think it was regarding ops in Iran or something...anyways in one of the trials the jets exploded and the C-130 went kaboee after that the project was terminated...its better to get there late then never at all
