Hell everyone,

I know this is a saga, but still perhaps some of you could enlightened me about this important event in the history of Pakistan.

I know the general details about the flight and the crash. What I still do not understand why Zia's successor as army chief, General Beg, stopped the investigation, although he promised in his first day in office to pursue it until its completion.

Even more bizarre is that the US government also halted its investigation, although Zia was accompanied by the US ambassador and the US defence attache, and they too were killed.

The technical investigation of the plane crash concluded that is was no accident but an intentional sabotage in the plane.

Can anyone share any logical explanation for this anomaly? And please, no conspiracy theories that has nothing to rely on.

Thanks!

hmmmm ... I know I certainly didn't.

Nobody in Pakistan is bothered that their leader was killed in plane crash and no one knows who did it???

CIA got rid of all major players in the war against USSR as soon as the jpb was done..
this included the ojhri camp disaster where all the weapons supplied for 'mujahideen' was stored..that was blown up.

As I said, no conspiracy theories please.

Do you have a hidden agenda behind opening the thread?
If you are here with the answer already known to you...why not spill yout beans?

Both the parties who halted the investigation were involved.

His assassination was a direct result of the Ojhri camp blast. US was angry that he sold weapons to Iran while Pakistani Generals were angry that his orders led to the death of so many Pakistanis.

Fait accompli.

That does not make sense.

The CIA would not kill the US Ambassador and defence attache.

Why to kill Zia? He cooperated with the US.

it does make sense..the US ambassador too was a major player in the war. The idea was to get rid of them all.

I really do not have any agenda or ulterior motive, it is a mystery which I do not understand why it does not bother the Pakistanis. Your leader was apparently murdered and no one care who did it. Same story like with Liquat Khan, the first PM.

Who told you all this?

I will happy to see some solid proofs for that.

First, selling weapons to Iran.

Second about the other generals' resentment against Zia. As far as I know, General Beg was in a state of shock when he found out about the crash and people who testified about his feelings in the first days after his appointment to COAS said Beg genuinely wanted to investigate what happened.

Anyway, I know Pakistanis like to blame the US for everything but it seems to me too bizarre that the CIA kill Zia for selling weapons to Iran and on the was kill the US ambassador and defence attache

Why don't you ask your Israeli flags to investigate. You may be surprised some of the perpetrators may be your next door neighbours. :coffee:
