Who is Guiding Taliban's Military Planning and Execution - Discussion

It is quiet unbelievable taliban could take so much casualties and withstand two decades of war against rest of the world ( USA, NATO. India, ANF, Pakistan, ME Gulf) and still survive.
We dont like some of their medieval ways but they are what they are.

Its all about ideology and strong faith. The taliban groups before ambushing or attacking literally pray and ask for martyrdom. When a colleague of theirs die, they call the relatives and congradulates them that their brother/father/son have attained shahadat. With such an ideology and faith, going to battle gives them two outcomes, martyrdom or victory, and they see it as a win win situation.
