Pick and choose.
Black Sea is not Med sea. In war time, Russia would be locked in the Black Sea because of the straits. That is why I didn't put Russia in the list. By the way, Russia's black sea fleet is very outdated. There were plans to upgrade it but I don't think that is possible anymore.1. United States Sixth Fleet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Turkey, Italy and France would round out my top 5, Spain is sixth (I don't know what order, you guys can decide. I like France over Turkey, but would accept the converse as well). Israel has a strong, but limited fleet (good subs), Egypt too, but all others are either small in size or lack the sophistication of the other contenders.
And yes, the title of the thread does allow me to be a smarta** - best in the Mediterranean not best of Mediterranean nations.

In this problem, what is the disposition of ships between:
Turkey (Med <> Black Sea)
Egypt (Med <> Red Sea/Gulf of Aden)
Spain (Atlantic <> Med)
France (Global <> Atlantic <> Med)
Russia (Black Sea <> Med)
US (Global <> Atlantic <> Med <> Indian Ocean <> Gulf)
Making the point all the more pressing.Add Indian Ocean and the Gulf of Aden as well. Just checked the daily reports from TAF.
