I dont think they yearn for national identification or anything.

Its just a geopolitical game. Another country drawn up, which holds strategic value in terms of geopolitical strategy.

I guess if they deserve their own country, then so do the houthis of yemen. Or the shia's in Saudi, and lets split bahrain too while we are at it. The gulf countries will probably get their share of "uprisings" once Assad is back in control of Syria (with Russia and Iran's help).
