Talking about fighter jet, Indonesia try to renegotiate the deal in KFX/IFX project, so not sure whether we are going to stay at the program, hopefully the renegotiation can end successfully and we are still part of the program. Current administration is not ambitious enough and has tendency not to support high tech program that cost a lot of money like KFX/IFX and R 80 passenger airplane.

The one which said it is designed based on Casa 212 is not Indonesian Aerospace official. I never read something like that, and it is stated in Wikipedia where every one can edit what ever you like as far as it fit with the moderator/senior editor agenda which I believe most of them are Westerners.

The statement saying N 219 base on C 212 in Wikipedia use the reference that cannot be found online. I cannot edit because I get IP banned from Wikipedia since I try to fix many thing base on fact and put credible source but if it is against their agenda then it make them unhappy.

Those planes are in the same class plane which is 19 seats plane so it is normal if planes on that class show some similarity. And here the new plane Cessna Sky Courier from USA and just make the first flight in early 2020. This plane look very similar like N 219. So base on your logic, this USA made plane must be a copy of N 219 that has had first flight three years earlier ???

Rebadged means that it is just stamped over like FC1 being called JF17 in Pakistan. The N219 was developed based on C212, but they are of different size, airframe design and avionics.

Dornier 228 is very much different from N 219, from the wing structure in which Dornier using supercritical type and different components of alloys for Airframe including kevlar meanwhile N 219 using conventional all metal structure , using different engine sets with Do using Garrett engine and N219 using PT6 from Pratt and Whitney, Dornier using five Blade propeller from MT and N219 using Four Blade Hartzell propeller system. If you called it rebadge , i don't know with what we Made up the differences

It is in the same class nothing special. It isn't what it is drummed up to be. If they made an atr or E190 equivalent then it would have been good news for me and a big win for Indonesia.

For now it is just another airplane in the class of the Dornier.

C212 is joint development between CASA and IPTN to begin with, and N219 eliminate the ramp door and enlarge the cargo cabin with lower speed as they intended for regular commercial flight
