But yes, some of us prefer to be allied with US instead of China, because of 3 reasons:
1. China government is communism, while many of us are still traumatized with Indonesian Communist Party coup effort in 1965 that killed many clerical.
2. Disharmony between native Indonesian and chinese ethnic in the past (heritage of Dutch devide et impera politics, which continued with some regimes, and taken advantage by some political parties for getting mass support.
3. China's 9 dash line that intersect with Indonesian economic zone, that make Indonesia feel inssecured being dependent on China.

But not all of Indonesian is like that.
