Please can anyone tell me what models of semi automatic pistols are copied in Darra and if you can provide pictures too. Actually its very difficult to pinpoint what model was it copied from by just looking at every weapon cause most usually do not have any model no. printed on them.

Darra Adam Khel is devoted entirely to the production of ordnance. Located in between Kohat and Peshawar, A wide variety of firearms are produced in the town, from anti-aircraft guns to pen-guns. Weapons are handmade by individual craftsmen using traditional manufacturing techniques, usually handed down father-to-son. The quality of the guns are generally high and craftsman are able to produce replicas of almost any gun. Guns are regularly tested by test-firing into the air. Darra is controlled by the local tribes men.[1]

Muhammad Ishaq From Abbottabad is a very famous craftsman, manufacturing double barrel guns, and doing engraving on guns in Darra Adem Khel

. . . . .
Nice! but I have already seen these pictures. Let me give u an example: I was about to buy a semi automatic pistol some days back. It was a work of art and was probably made in Darra. It was a good pistol but ofcourse it was a copy of some western model. Now I am trying to determine which western model. I googled and was able to determine that it was very similar to a "Browning 9mm Hi-power" and "US M1911A1" but couldn't exactly say which.
