Why you use so much insult word, i thought it was banned in the forum.?You made a generalization just based on your personal feel, without any concrete evidence or fact, is that a blank statement? If it is wasting your times, why bother reply back then, got nothing to do? Don't know why this kind of topic come up, you always find the reason to bash either VN or MalayLOL The problem with this type of circular argument with Vietcong or VC mentality stricken Viet in here (which denote an attitude and a state of mind observed during NAM i.e. exaggeration, habitual lying as well as their coolie mentality)is that you are wasting your TIME and getting NOWHERE, as one senior poster Tai Shang timely advised me.
1. TPPA was an original idea hijacked from EAEC modified to give USA corporations more BARGAINING power than the rest of the member states.
2. The reasons why FOLKS esp. the mostly uneducated nationalistic Khmer Krom Vietnam thinks they are getting a good deal is because they are BRAINWASHED into acceptance e.g. have any Vietnamese seen the agreement or the fine print to be precise 1000 pages.
3. In a democracy like Philippines, the present ruling government knew it will be suicidal to proceed and present such a secret package from the ordinary folks. The opposition will exploit and slaughtered them in the process in the coming election.
4. VIETNAM being a RED COMMUNIST STATE whose authoritarian grip on the population is described as between three quarter way from North Korea and PRC has NO such burden.
5. From the little information we gather , OBAMA’s USA adopted a NEW STRATEGY in order to FAST TRACK TPPA the bill to the extent of even betraying the American voters and consumers e.g. it only required 51% approval from lawmakers to pass the bill but it will required 2/3 the number to reject it once it is passed.
6. In Malaysia, although the ruling junta has signed the pact despite public objections. NOBODY outside of the chosen few knew anything about the deal. Furthermore it will NOT PRESENT it in Parliament until the eleven hours citing NO TIME for debate during the current session (What? NO TIME to debate an important bill that involved ordinary folks like the TPPA?) and will only be present in January 2016 where it happened to be the deadline for Malaysia to accept the deal. Meanwhile everything about TPPA is hidden and secret. Anyone discussing it or in possession of a copy is against the law using the Official Secret Act. That is TPPA – MALAYSIAN PROSPECTIVE.
7. From the little information, we gathered, the TPPA is NOT an equivalent deal between each states e.g. while USA can has total ACCESS to New Zealand farm, it has NO FREE ACCESS to Canadian farm under their agreement, Japan farm subsidies is trade off with Japanese Automobile being subjected to the same USA tax for the next 30 years meaning NO CHANGE.
8. As for the SMALLER PARTNERS like Vietnam or Malaysia, since they have NOTHING TO OFFER in return except for US1 dollar sweatshops, they will be eventually squeezed like a ball. The WONDERFUL THING for these low IQ individuals, they are so brainwashed they never stop to even ponder for a minute. In this respect, the FILIPINO and INDONESIA are certainly SMARTER than them. I guess the RED Vietnamese have NO CHOICE as it is NOT FOR THEM to decide.
9. But in the meantime, we know USA corporation esp. pharmaceutical firms can now cracked down on generic drugs because their expired patent right has just been extended from 12 years to 30 or 36 years. We can ask 1000X but we can expects NO ANSWER until it happens.
1) the East Asia Economic Caucus (EAEC) or East Asia Economic Group (EAEG) was a regional (FTA) proposed in 1990 and encompasses the (ASEAN) member states, China, South Korea and Japan. Japan though refused participation due to the exclusion of the Western nations, which were already members of APEC and many other notable regional organizations in East Asia.TPP is an expansion of the (TPSEP or P4), and in 2008, America got invited under Bush administration, it was aim to open up market and investment oversea back then
2) 3/4 population in VN got cover by Internet, and govt got very little control in media nowadays, there are over thousand of press and blogs on the Internet, civil society aspect and civil media are booming, you can read article by
William Taylor for that issue at asiafoundation org
3) Why give example of Philippine, it mostly rule by rich family that run for election, all they care about is the vote and power, ordinary folk got not much say about it and that was going on for decade @Cossack25A1, they are not real and liberal democracy . Let's take Canada for example on issue of TPP. In Canada there are large internal divisions when the country's western provinces is very strong support for the participation in TPP agreement will boost exports to oversea. In contrast, the eastern province protested, saying that the agreement will affect the dairy industry and automobiles in Canada. Different group of people in the country got different interest, if you take PH, i'm sure it also got supporter and oppose on the issue. Vietnam also got group of officer that opposed the deal as it may reduce the revenue as imported tax reduced and ease on visa issue, and independent trade union and livestock. But guess who is against TPP the most in VN, it is the SOEs!!!!!
4) Do you got evident for your claim, or it is an false statement? Foreign press are uncensored in VN and as above govt got very little control of media nowadays and in VN it was kind of collective leadership not strongman like say CHina or Russia.
Let's me explain:
Vietnam’s top three leaders (the “troika”) have worked to ensure that their distinct powers are protected in two important ways. First, their constitutional compromise allows that each of them receive one of the top-ranking positions in the VCP. With this arrangement, there is a need to forge consensus positions on policy issues, ultimately eliminating the extreme shifts from left to right. Second, their different constitutional powers allow for patronage politics and scope for cultivation of a loyal following. One had the VCP and state-owned enterprises (SOEs). Other had control of the bureaucracy. And last one had power over the military and its sizable business sector, with nearly 70,000 soldiers (12 percent of the standing army) employed full-time in over 100 military-owned commercial enterprises

5) In U.S.A, if you got the vote from important state then even if you got lower vote, you still hold and got the power, it was the case of Bush back in the days. @C130, @jhungary
6)It was an agreement between countries that no data will release after negotiation is close, it was the case 1st applied by P4 countries. Why blame Malaysia only? TPP should be approved by Parliament Malaysia. Minister of Commerce Malaysia, Mustapa Mohamed said he expected the TPP to the country's parliamentarians in several weeks.Despite the opposition, the coalition of Prime Minister Najib Razak control about 60% of the Malaysian Parliament, should work through TPP expected no difficulties. More likely, Congress will consider TPP Malaysia in 2016. I read the news, Japan govt just got PDF about TPPs but it is in Japanese, mb ask @Nihonjin1051 out?
7) TPP is multilateral agreements, all participating countries accept the same rules should negotiations not necessarily reciprocal nature that complex, more multi-layered: a country A proposed benefit to B, in return, it requires from country D to E some benefits that last around that make the country B will make concessions. If it is your point then it is no need to take over 5 years of negotiation, AMerica is the master, they command , it will be fast and EZ right?
8) Do you have evident to back up your claim or it is make up again?
9) Patents and copy right is between 3-8 years under pressure from members state to US, and it is depend vastly on their economic status. SOme less developed countries will get span of time before the law implement on them. You made up everything will be 12 years like US?
