The cops in question are suspended and the medical history & reports do say that he was suffering from a illness, police " investigations" in India involve a lot of blood & bruses, it's just the way things work here.

As for the beef argument , beef smuggling is banned in 8/29 states in India.

Why? Because these are agricultural states, where cattle population in Farm lands is dropping. So the court made cattle a protected animal in these states, that's about it religious group are just politicizing this.

Beef banning is an directing principle in the constitution and it has more to it than agricultural requirements. It is a part of our value system.

Protection of all milch animals is part of our value system. So its silly to claim that religion has nothing to do with it.

No its not, beef is legal in most of Indian states. Hell it's the state-dish of kerala.

You forget how big India is, we don't share the exact culture values. Of course the cultural aspect did help pass the bill by the government but the constitution is secular, the court ruling only favored it because of its agricultural aspects.

Cow killing is illegal in most Indian states. The problem is with killing cow, not eating beef. Nobody has any problem with people eating anything, even $hit.

India does have a common Hindu culture that has evolved over Thousands of years. Clearly some converts wants to conveniently forget this, and make their betrayal and conversion easier, but rest of the Hindus are not playing that game.

The courts job is to translate the constitution and not create law. The constitution is very clear in its directive principles, so the court has no choice in this matter.

Let me tell you the difference -

In this case of murder, the Inspector is arrested by state and would be punishable by law. When such incident happen me and almost all Indians feel disgraced.

In Asia Bibi case, state will murder a woman and almost whole of your country will be joyful.
