Whats your baradari or tribe?

Pakistani and Muslim only

Father/Generations were/are all Sheikh... Business community... Every one of my relative and distant relatives are doing some sort of business in Pakistan and UK... I don't really believe in baradari system but it is also truth that I have seen people of my community doing welfare work all over my city.. probably not seen any other baradari doing so much for it's people... if not for all.. at least some people are beneficiaries of Baradari system.

We even have an amazing graveyard for Sheikh community... Never seen such a maintained, tidy graveyard anywhere else in Pakistan.. Usually the people of our baradari are buried there and non-Sheikh are buried in the adjoining graveyard (technically part of the same graveyard but cordoned off). Our own welfare society.. free hospitals.. welfare programs.. charity organisation... so many things to name..

Bro your caste is Khatri in that case. When hindu khatris converted to Islam they adopted Sheikh title.

oh yeah nigga thats whats up we got three gujjars on this forum lol
me, you and @Azlan Haider

ok now I'm confused they look like just normals pathans
why don't they look like us if they gujjars?

Just like Indian gujjars don't look like Pakistani gujjars.

In Punjab, there is a group of Mughals (Turks from Afghanistan) mixed into Pakhtoons / Pashtoons. Two main centres of settlement in the country are in Sialkot District, and Peshawar Valley. A lot of them have a deep connection to Peshawar. The British recorded their existence during the colonial times. The other areas of settlement are Rawalpindi, Azad Kashmir, Jammu, and Multan in the South,

In Sialkot and Mirpur/Jammu, their primary profession was as BlackSmiths (Lohaar), a profession adopted by many Mughals, due to them being in the Armies, and swordsmen, even though other biradaris kept swords as well. It was considered a menial profession by the local land owning JaTTs, and frowned upon. As such, these Mughals were labelled as "Kami Log", due to anti-social structures. Basically, anyone without land was Kami Log. But Mughals were migrants into Punjab, and were not able to hold land there as they were able to do it in UP or Bihar. There are other stereotypes of Mughals. For example, they do not keep their word, and are not loyal people.

But if you look at JaTT history, when were they a loyal people? The Raputs were the most loyal people of dignity and power, and others like the Shaikhs and Khawaja. The Delhi Mughals had Rajput Muslims all around them. The existence of Ranghars in Saharanpur, and Meos south of Delhi, which are big communities is evidence. Bhatti Rajputs were big in Rohatk Area, but not the majority, as hindu jats were majority.

Phenotypes of Mughal-Pathans: Big, broad upper body, shorter legs, very fair skin, coloured to black eyes, blond to black hair, medium to tall height, Somewhat round faces. I am posting some pics below of typical Punjabi Mughal facial phenotypes. I hope these individuals allow me to post their pictures here. They are off the net.

I am not sayings JaTTs are a bad people. They are considered by us among the best biradaris of Punjab, and their sense of community, land, and their love for Islam and spirituality holds no bounds.

Sorry no offence but jatts are royal since ancient times, we didn't need labels from hindu brahmins like Rajputs did ;)

Nothing as of yet... just another student ... but i have a goal... and no im not talking about becoming the PM of Pakistan or anything like tht.. haha.....what about you...? the Great Khan of Lakki?

I dont think you even understood my post.. ? Being proud of your ancestors is good... heck im proud of mine... just like you are of yours.......

But would the world respect you if you run a "khokha" selling paan, cigs or naswar?even if your great great great great great Granpa was the Sultan of Afghanistan?nobody would care...

Right now people respect the VC of PU much more than you ... despite the caste he belongs to ... yeah hes a "kammi" ... as Punjabis call it...
I am a doctor , and i have very interesting life story...i have also plans for some other things.
I was also student like you, i always a top scorer in school and college. I hope you are also studying hard and not wasting your time fazool things.
Listen man, its your choice to not give importance to your ancestors...when i say ancestors, i mean my qaum in the past, not some individual in the past...history is lesson for us, if our ancestors have made some blunders, the lesson for us is not to repeat it....we remember sultans, saints, heroes, villians of our qaum for inspiration.

Yeah I know but a few Bangladeshis here claim to be Sheikh and Sayyid.
I swear Arabs never went to Bengal?

As i said no idea about Bangalis. In Pakistan if someone is sheikh and his family is in bussiness since generations, it means they are Punjabi khatris converts.

Thanks for your detailed reply.
About social status, it is totally relative. Awan is big deal in khushab, but the same awan is insignificant in pakhtunkhwa.

No they did just not in numbers like present day Pakistan and North India, during the Rashidun caliphate merchants and missionaries were sent over by the Caliphs. Like one sufi saint was known as Shah Jalal, most people say he was Yemeni and he went to Bangla for missionary work.

You are confusing my pashtun qomiat aur tashakhus with racism, ...in this sense all turks are racist because they ahhere to turkish identity? All arabs are racist because they adhere to arab identity?.
Racist is some one who consider his people superior on the basis of certain genotypes and phenotypes .....
Do i consider pakhtun a superior breed? No. I am big critic of them but not on this forum where my criticism on pakhtuns can bdm used to malign pakhtuns. Do i wish to see most educated, progressive, developed and dominant people of the country or even world? Yes. Do i want to see pashtuns as good muslims? Yes. Do i believe in mutual respect and co-existence of different nations in pakistan? Yes. Do i believe in loving my enemies? No.
@desertfighter if i am racist then you are extremly racist against indians

I hate this pure blood thing in families.
I Hate this pure blood thing.
I HAte this pure blood thing.
I HATE this pure blood thing.
I HATE this mentality of planning upon having a pure-blooded family.
.
.
.
I HATE THIS phenomenon.

Can you now sense, the amount of dislike i personally have for it?

Personal decisions... if you hate it... good for you... those who wish to continue their traditions ... respect their choice..

Problem solved.
